Transphobic hospitals postpone gender reassignment surgery

If they are so mentally depressed they should not be getting any kind of surgery.

They should be mentally stable before any of that is done.
 
I'm transgender and even I support this. I don't wanna be cut up and stuff while this COVID 19 is going around....

Too risky if I say myself.... but the surgery must get done! But what is life if I'm dead from some stupid virus?

First of all, you will notice that he never mentionned anything about fetishes and pretenses. That's an assumption and not a very charitable one at that.

Second of all, not everyone who disagrees with your positions does so out of spite, hatred or prejudice. Many things can lead to disagreements, so why assume the worst? The only thing this is going to get you is frustration at best.
 
It's not transphobic. It's being realistic. I understand that the surgeries, approved by our medical community, are important. But it's not safe to get surgeries right now, unless it's an immediate, can't wait situation. I know it is bad, but even worse would be to see a transgender person die in surgery or contact the virus. Look my brother and I have to get colonoscopy every 1 to 2 years. It's important, but it is something which can be put off for month or two.

Such a liberal. A hospital that has probably provided 1000s of gender reassignment surgeries and who postpones those surgeries, likely in response to the state government ordering them to do so, and you will assume without even a shred of doubt that the hospitals was motivated by transphobia.
AND there isn't a shred of evidence that sex reassignment surgery does anything to improve the wellbeing of the transgendered. They keep on committing suicide at the same rate as those transgendered who have not undergone gender reassignment.

Provide that study. The only thing that has ever been presented here was studies that compare transgenders as a whole to the general population. I have yet to see one comparing pre and post transition, AND accounting for non transgendered related factors such as clinical depression and bullying/harassment.

No, it's elective because it's not a life-threatening situation.

YOU are transphobic. You're demanding that transgender people be placed in mortal danger by exposing them to a pandemic. What's your agenda, AtlantaAdonis? Why do you want transgender Americans to get Coronavirus?
 
Shouldn't joke threads be started in their own special joke forum? Or maybe moved there after at least one person "gets" it? Or maybe have a time limit? Golly, the possibilities!
