Those Who Say Guns Aren't Good For Self Defense Don't Know Guns

Yes I'm sure a lot more people die from old age too. You guys simply like the idea of being able to kill easily and won't be denied the 'thrill' of it .... whatever the cost as we see repeated every other month :(

Denying people the right to vote, intentionally discriminating against minorities, so yeah, seems to support that conservatives are okay removing the rights of people they don't like or disagree with

That is a complete fail. People practice to defend themselves. That does not mean they want to shoot other people. I learned how to do CPR and apply tourniquets. Doesn't mean I want to be put in a situation where I have to do that. But it beats the alternative in some cases. Now, why would someone join the military if their country is not being attacked, if they spend so much time accusing other people of wanting to shoot humans?

Denying people the right to vote-LOL Are background checks for gun buyers denying people the right to buy guns, or are they designed to prevent those who cannot legally own guns from buying them commercially? Are Voter IDs designed to suppress voting or impede voter fraud?

It would be nice if the people who whined about their political opponents imposing on personal liberty were actually in favor of expanding personal liberty, instead of merely using it to justify their own impositions.

I will be happy to consider a compromise on gun control legislation as soon as the dumb **** anti-gunners understand that a "compromise" means they need to actually offer us something except a stay of execution.

Because you can't defend yourself from a human attacker if you don't where to shoot that attacker to do the most damage. Shooting human silouettes gives the shooter the proper perspective of shot placement and accuracy.

Accuracy is critical for two reasons: you want to stop your attacker as quickly as possible and you don't want stray bullets flying all over the place that could harm a bystander.

This makes sense. However, why dont people simply shoot the attacker in the head? I heard that's what cops are trained to do. To stop the attacker completely.

Heads are small and move fast. They're hard to hit. Putting one round in the attacker's chest is much more valuable than putting six in the wall behind him.

I'm ignoring you after this, because you're clearly not interested in any honest discussion. If you were informed or if you had read that article, you'd have seen that it was determined to be unconstitutional because it effectively discriminated against minorities. As I said, the point is that Republicans are very okay with denying people their rights, so long as it's people they don't like, or disagree with, and it won't affect them.

It could definitely be argued that background checks could be unconstitutional for similar reasons, or continuing to deny felons their 2nd Amendment after their sentence is served and they're released, and especially in regards to felons, I don't think most conservatives care. Just like they don't want to give them the right to vote back. Just one of the reasons I listed originally, "they deserve it".
