Very simple, people are tested, they are infected and included in the count that the left wants to publicize, 40% have no symptoms, don't receive medical treatment, recover but aren't counted as recovered as there is no way of county infected people with no symptoms and no medical treatment. Why do you think there is such a gap between the number of cases, 4.7, number of recoveries, 4.3, 157 deaths, leaving 1.3 as active, 40% of those actives would be over a half million not counted as recovered

You have not made a point as to why recovered numbers are important. That number doesn't say anything since "recovered" includes those who might not be currently infected but have long term chronic health conditions as a result of the damage done by this virus. "Recovered" is rather meaningless since it covers a huge range of conditions.

Your argument is to spin the Orange Asshole's total failure to enact policy to counter this virus, he has failed miserably, the worst response by any Western nation, and much worse than most Asian states. We should have fewer people being counted as "recovered" since they would not have been infected in the first place.

There are four reasons why we're having a bastard of a time getting everybody to wear masks, none of them mutually exclusive.

1)Kids think they're immortals from The Highlander.
2)Uneducated people have absolutely no idea how how to grasp the fundamentals of contagions and means of transmission.
3)Masks have become politicized by Trump, and
4)No centralized messaging (this is obviously directly related to #3). This is important because the groups in #1 and #2 witness what's happening in #3 and #4 and just assume it's all noise.

This kind of event is a boat load of stupid regardless where it is. If there's one thing I've learned from this pandemic, is we have quite a large segment of the population that cannot hunker down when needed.

You'd actually have to present a logical argument if your desire is to change someone's mind; you have not done that, and that's why you fail to provide a cogent counterpoint. Simply repeating talking points which have been addressed is the old argumentum ad nauseam tactic which doesn't work. I think it's been made abundantly clear that your relationship to data is a dysfunctional one; your use of COVID 19 metrics is a great example. There's no need to derail this thread with your same tired questions I've answered in other threads. Gingko biloba is great for improving one's memory.

I am not ignoring the fact that there are 40 percent asymptomatic. DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHY THE ASYMPTOMATIC PEOPLE ARE A MAJOR PART OF THE PROBLEM? Asymptomatic spread is why this virus is a motherfudger.

And I ask you to talk to people who have "recovered". The ones I know know the difference between having the virus out of their body and getting near their baseline of good health. They worry about their future.

In almost 40 years at the bedside, I have never seen my coworkers get seriously ill from an infection like this . Never. Took covid to make that happen.

Yeah, I take this seriously.

We are interconnected. Don't you understand that? You act like people don't get in cars, buses, planes , boats, and trains.

If you want to get the economy back...the pathway is masks, distancing, sanitizing, and crowd avoidance. If we all do this, cases will drop and allow for those tests to be done in a more timely manner - in turn the lesser numbers will allow for robust contact tracing and stopping hot spots before they stop.

That is the path. The sooner the better.
