2. tests are almost useless in controlling spread when they take too long - pandemic is not waiting for your test to spread

Do you understand that the 40 percent asymptomatic covid positive people is actually a huge part of the problem? Asymptomatic spread is a huge problem. It is what makes them comfortable going around maskless in large groups and crowds - they feel good. All the while they are spreading the disease. I know President Trump loves to brag about the millions of tests.

Do you understand that we could be doing 1 million tests a day....and it would not matter unless we got the numbers of infected down far enough to get tests results back in under a day so they could track/trace/isolate in real time. Getting a test back in 7 days and having insufficient trackers to follow up means that you have no ability to prevent hot spots from occuring.

The way to get the numbers down is to insist on masking, social distancing , hygiene measures, no large gatherings , no bars, etc. If we could be that good for a month or so, our economy could starting to come back because we could be doing testing and tracking and quarantining that matters. We should have been doing this right from the beginning.

Why should I compare the U.S. to other countries, there are no other countries like this one, private sector economy, 22 trillion GDP, 50 independent states, 40% of those infected have no symptoms thus are counted as infected and ignored with regard to recovery. You want this issue and want to place blame never accepting any responsibility, NY and NJ have over 48,000 deaths and the top 7 blue states have 60% of the total deaths and you want to focus on the Red States?
