Unless you're a complete moron you know full well that the Democratic party of that time was composed of Racist Southern Conservatives, while the Republican party of that time was composed of Northern Liberals. The parties flipped around between 1920 and 1970 after LBJ signed the civil rights bill, and Nixon formulated his southern strategy to recruit racist southern whites to the Republican party.
Really? ROTFL. In the 1920’s the Klan size was estimated at 5 million. That’s a lot of democrats. The South remained democrat as late as 1976 when Carter took the South. From there it swung back and forth into the 1990’s. About that time is when the left went full on kook mode and essentially lost the South. Not because of racism, unless you think 10’s of millions of Americans are ALL racists. LOL You might think that, I don’t know. Judging by all your errors, I’d say whoever taught you such nonsense, it isn’t your fault. I know we are all “deplorable” right?
But more to your point. Liberals are not the least bit interested in anything other than destroying the last remnants of the confederacy, and getting Andrew Jackson off the $20. Liberals would prefer to focus more of our honor on real American Patriots like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Abraham Lincoln not less.
Washington and Jefferson held slaves. Lincoln, like the father of the modern Democratic Party, Jackson, didn’t care for Indians. Remember that Trail of Tears thing? Jackson was a big time racist. Like that other darling Democrat, Nathan Bedford Forrest, founder of the Klan, hated blacks. Democrat leaders all through history hated blacks. LBJ actually referred to them (n-word) and even went as far to nickname one bill, “(the n-word) bill.” Before LBJ, we had Wilson, big on segregation, then of course we had FDR, imprisoned Japanese by executive order without due process. Let’s not forget Jim Crow, another democrat invention.
And even today, the left likes to keep blacks in the ‘hood and dependent on big gov’t handouts.
But, yeah, more to the point. Where does it end? I keep asking and not a single leftist has the wherewithal to answer that simple question. So, a few statues of Lee, Davis, Washington, Jefferson. Maybe Stone Mountain, Mt. Rushmore, Jefferson Memorial? Leftists are already talking about going further so pay attention.
