The volunteer-run Facebook group, founded last year by friends Layla Tromble and Terri Kompton in Washington state, has white people respond to racist trolls online at the request of people of color.

“If a white person is filling your social media with white nonsense ― anything from overt racism to well-intentioned problematic statements, tag us and a white person will come roundup our own,” the group’s Facebook post reads.

I hadn't noticed any difficulty among the local people of color in terms of responding to white trolls. I wonder why these people think this service is even necessary or desirable? The bigotry of low expectations?

Treating victims like they cant do for themselves and taking over, "Helping Them" which tends to turn into saving them, is standard in Victim Culture.

Thinking people of color are not smart enough or need help in social media is a pretty racist idea to hold. Why are you so eager to dismiss this bigotry as trivial.

I do agree that not many will care , but that has more to do with This form of bigotry and racist thinking doesn't fit the agenda driven definition of what racism is.

A lot of victims over the years have been upset that their agency has been removed by the Victim Minders, as it was by their abusers, have figured that the one is not a whole lot better than the other. I think we are getting better at letting victims self direct, but man we sure still put a lot of pressure on them to do what we want them to do, regardless of what the victims figure is in their best interest or the right thing to do.....see for example how the feminist state co-operative is pissed that so many university women dont come forward to report their sexual abuse, even though we know a lot of them dont think that the guy is all at fault (Actually about 40% dont think that they are the victim of abuse to start with), or that what he did should be a crime. The women know that they were both drunk and that consent got messed up, they know that they played a part, they know that the Victim Culture Mantra "The Victim is always 100% innocent of all wrong leading up to the crime" is a lie, that justice does not lay in blaming the man for all of it.


Anyways this is a bit of a hobby horse for me because what we do pisses me off. I dont want to derail the thread though and this is not such an extreme case here, in this case victims are only encouraged to let their betters do for them...but it is still pretty smelly.

My hostility towards Victim Culture is wall to wall at this point, it is a failed idea that needs to go, we know it has failed because we are here.

An open offer to help anyone who wants to come to you and ask for it isn't an insult. You guys need to think through the lines before you regurgitate them

I suppose it would be one thing to respond with help if it is requested. It's another to presume it's needed when people are capable of managing themselves.

Why would anybody think anything posted on social media is a problem?

Why would anybody think anything that happens on social media is important.

Social media is not real life.

I would expect these white saviors are less than 25 years old.

Lol at the hypocrisy in getting upset at this.

So when people say "Black Lives Matter" the response is automatically a reference to black on black crime and they need to take care of the problems within their own community.

On Muslim Terrorism, the peaceful majority need to denounce the terrorist and take care of their own community.

White people troll miniorities, no need for whites to try and control the unruly within their own community.
