What Trump, or anyone else, did or did not do has nothing to do with what Kathy Griffin did or did not do. She alone decided to "go there" likely in anticipation that her cutting edge "humor" would be her ticket to relevance and increase her fame and standing among the resist, resist, resist crowd she that she so loves to hang with. The good news is that she now has a lot more time to devote to her witty "art".

I think it's fair to say that maybe her stunt was a bridge too far. I would not go so far as to say the fever has broken, but even liberals are upset. And that says a lot.

I saw her on TV blubbering and blaming Trump.

She deserves some credit for defining "The bottom" in our social discourse.

Although I admit he doesn't speak very eloquently (at least in speeches and when interviewed) his IQ is actually proven to be very high.

I see no evidence of that, at all, in any interview, speech, position, staff pick, communication tactic, etc.

Maybe back in the 80s and 90s he was average IQ and fairly well educated. Maybe he had one or two areas he was good in. And that's a stretch.
This is the guy that thinks the human body has limited energy like a battery, he's not playing with a full deck, and I doubt he ever was.

The point was.....the poster was saying that Griffin owes Trump a personal apology. Perhaps....but someone that DESERVES a personal apology is generally someone worthy of one...and that would be someone who does the same when they commit a wrong. Someone who engages in despicable behavior and never apologizes or accepts responsibility is not as deserving of a personal apology as the person who does.

Apparently her apology was just a means to get rid of the heat she herself created, and had she left it at that, it probably would have been accepted. Instead, by whining about it now, it looks like she is just going for more publicity, which she may be hoping gets her job back or something, but it also looks like the apology wasn't sincere. Stupid moves from the beginning, and now adding that comment about "stupid white guys are out to silence me" was another error, since she was implying that only the Repubs found it wrong, when even the Dems were faulting what she did.... :sinking:

She peppered her apology with comments like “I’m not good at being appropriate,” she said. “I’m only good at doing comedy one way. It’s in your face. I’m going to make fun of the president. And I’m going to do it more now.” Doesn't sound like a sincere apology to me. Very passive aggressive with the tears and all. Then how the family is trying to ruin her on social media with comments:

“As a mother, a wife, and a human being, that photo is very disturbing. When you consider some of the atrocities happening in the world today, a photo opportunity like this is simply wrong and makes you wonder about the mental health of the person who did it.”

Trump’s eldest son, Donald Jr., wrote on Twitter that Griffin’s photo was “disgusting but not surprising.”

Really? If that ruins you, you had nothing to ruin.
