the UK under Lock Down

The simple fact it's being dubbed “Super Saturday” really tells you the carnage and drunken mayhem that awaits Sunday's newspapers.
And the UK treasury tweets out that people should go out and drink.... And yes it has since been removed.

Oh and pubs can open at 10 am....

I'm going to get absolutely smashed down the pub tomorrow and i make no apologies about it.

I think I'll wait till they've got some fresh barrels in ...

As for me, I'm doing childcare and home education now my partner is back at work dealing with patients 5 days a week.

Not going to be on the forums much so..... best of luck everyone, hopefully see you all on the other side!

I'm still in lockdown so no pub for me just yet.
I have to wait until August 1st until I can go back to work or go to the pub.

I'm not a big drinker anymore anyway though but I am missing games of pool.

Yeah, it's like people griping about the price of petrol rising (when it does).

No idea what their beef is, I always fill up for 30 Euros.

Are you even british if you don’t moan about the price of pints?

I've been away for so long (despite visiting) that I long since work in liters. More specifically in units of 0.25 or 0.3 which is the custom size of a glass down here.

My one and only visit to the Munich Oktoberfest had me grappling with their "Mass" which amounts to round about two pints. Apart from otherwise getting a sore wrist, one has to gulp that down so as to still have some "fizz". Of course if they replaced their brew with the "British standard", that latter problem wouldn't even arise.:2razz:

Boris and Co are bribing the British people with 10 pound voucher system to go out and eat, plus raising the minimum on when stamp duty is to be applied on house purchases....

Wonder if it has anything to do with the Russia report possibly being released tomorrow.

Not to mention where on earth is the UK getting all this money?

and Rushi Sunak reckons that Scots are better with the UK ... the UK government is panic stricken they know they face losing Scotland to the EU whom the EU said would welcome with open arms but they do not want the UK/England back after all the problems they cause and has caused
