A lot of Jesus sayings or Commandments seem impossible...Love you neighbor as yourself, for example...love and pray for your enemies.. so even devout Christians don't do or seem to even have a desire to do those hard things..

Jesus forewarned us of this and said that few (the saints say VERY few) find the way to Heaven...so disturbing...

The world, the flesh and the devil dictate to us on a daily basis what we are supposedly to do w our time and resources...

But all those things will pass away..

Christianity (and Trump btw) are very difficult esp for those who...well... aren't exactly on their way, shall we say...

Three things...

"Christians" only follow or do what is convenient, the rest is explained away.

Trump has nothing to do with Christianity.

Hell is nothing more than a weapon for Christianity to threaten their flock with.

You present this as though these things are somehow tied to one's salvation. I reject that notion.

The commandments are given for our benefit, not our destruction. The more people obey the commandments, the better off they and the rest of the world are.

Regardless, there is nothing anyone can do that would warrant them deserving of eternal life and salvation. Hence, the need and provision of a savior. One's salvation is not dependent on how well one complies with those commandments, but rather they are guideposts to help us all live the best lives we can. To say otherwise is to reduce God to a petty functionary who is there simply to see how many boxes you checked off during your life.

You are egregiously wrong in your last 2 comments

Hell is real

I have been there, vboth figuratively speaking and otherwise

Sin is what necessitates hell.....avoid all sin and you will find Heaven.. only problem is

You are a sinner and always will be (in one form or another)

That said, Heaven is attainable....

As what I assume is a believer in Christianity, consider this: By encouraging the premature opening of governments in order to bolster the economy before the November election, Donald Trump is sacrificing innocent human lives to a plague in order to retain his power. He is also in favor of Israel's annexation of the West Bank. He, one of the arguable kings of the earth, committed adultery with a porn star while his wife was pregnant with his son.

Are you familiar with the signs of the end times? Are you familiar with the traits of the Antichrist?

"For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if possible, even the elect."

but maybe believing you have the truth and getting others to live how you want feels good regardless of whether or not you actually have the truth

How is that truth? Can you show that it is more than just religious rhetoric, with a bit of irrational politics thrown in?

Hell is not a weapon, hell is explained clearly in the Bible but the corrupt christian institutions and theologians have ruined it

Believe in Him and try to live as he taught to the best you can, and When you fall down, dust yourself off and continue on, after all you are just Human. No one said it is easy, but the reward is eternal.

True but ....well, I guess the scripture that says it is

Without holiness it is impossible to please God. I worry about Protestants bc the only absolute holiness is found in the Catholic Church...the Eucharist..the Real Presence, the Holy Mass

The world outside the Church is not holy and causes people to lose sight of what holiness is...

No Trump very good. I meant that he is bad to those who don't like goodness

So for clarity, you believe that when Trump proclaimed on audio tape that he ' is entitled to grab women's vaginas at will because he is a celebrity" ( somewhat paraphrasing, but certainly conveys his personal testimony about '***** grabbing' ), and when he offered Marla Maples one million dollars to abort his/their daughter, Tiffany ( per Miss Maples' personal testimony ), you equate these things to 'Trump very good" and those two proclamations/actions of Trump's equal 'goodness'? Is that your contention you're going on record here at DP with? YES or NO is all that is required.

What's this bull****?

And people wonder why I call Trumpism a cult...

Heaven nor hell is real, just tools to perpetuate bronze age myths.

Until you come down from the cheap seats most of your posts are largely ignored.

I am confused, perhaps you can elaborate and unmudify my fuzzification

You said You have been to Hell both figuratively and otherwise. It is the 'otherwise' bit, that has cause confusion. I know you don't mean literally. The fact that you posted on this board, puts that possibility to rest. What does otherwise mean in this context?

lol...some would say the Church is not holy...
