This posts irony is rather fun, suggesting that Fox is just propaganda with a highly edited, and with little context, propaganda piece from CNN. Here’a a few points for those with integrity to consider. The vast majority of televised news, and print news is left leaning if not blatantly bias.

True journalism is long dead, the right wing and left wing are connected to the same bird that’s searching for viewers, subscribers and readers irrelevant of fairness and truthfulness of its coverage. I no longer watch cable news outlets after cutting the cord, It’s not news or journalism its opinion talking heads playing to their targeted audience.

I find the fact that John Solomon was dropped like 10 mies of bad road by The Hill after his absurd and constant hatching of CT's was then picked off the scrap heap by Fox News stunning and says just about everything about Fox News that matters. Combine that with Shep Smith leaving Fox News and I think it is safe to say, "Houston, we have a problem".

That said, how can Americans be so obliviously dedicated to garbage TV and laughably absurd editorialization cloaked as something approaching News is almost incomprehensible to me. Watch if you wish but realize you are watching entertainment programing for most of the Fox News day.

I heard some columnist say that if Roger Ailes were still alive, he would have restrained Fox News from becoming the Trumpischer Boerbachter.

1. I am very grateful that FOX NEWS exists.

2. I no longer pay much attention to the news, but everyday I check out FOX for a few minutes.

a. It is the only network that has the guts to report politically incorrect news, which the liberal media ignore or downplay.

3. When the Dems seize the government in January, 2021, I hope that they will not close down FOX.

well, Rush and Sean are a special kind of liar (much like Donald Trump).

Rush, after he dropped out of college in 1971 was then fired by WIXZ in 1973 and then was fired by KQV-AM in 1974 so he went back to living with his mom and dad. that's when he moved to Missouri and started his Morton Downey Jr similar thing. He was fired from that job too but they gave him another chance and then fired him again.

you probably remember all that. his name was "Bachelor Jeff" Christie. so when he decided to be Rush Limbaugh he got a job at KMBZ-AM and then they fired him too. Then he actually did replace the actual Morton Downey Jr at KFBK-AM. That's when the lies really started. He can say whatever he wants, since he's not a journalist, and doesn't have to issue any retractions to all his lies. That's the magic.

Sean and much of the rest of the Republican media jumped on that very successful model (which wraps what we learned in church (fight the devil to the death), people's fear of those that are different (black, brown, gay, happy) and constant lies) into one nice, neat broadcasting lying machine.

It's really a shame that their listeners aren't savvy enough to know when they're being lied to AND that they will just leave a ton of facts out to make their point (that is their most effective way of lying) and it's all to make huge money (Rush called himself a failure and was desperate for $$$) and now he no longer has that fear of failure.

Rush showed them the lying model, all the others just jumped on it and cashed in and ruined our country. If you don't believe me, watch this board for the next week and see how many facts are left out by Limbaugh/Hannity listeners.

The highest rated shows on Fox News, of any kind and format, reach about 3-5 million viewers, depending on current events.

At present, the liberal MSM networks (ABC, NBC, CBS News) reach @ 15-20 million combined, depending on current events.

Liberal fake news cable (CNN, MSNBC, etc.) reach about 3-5 million combined.

Add in the circulation and website visits for WaPo, NYT, LAT, etc., and you reach another 10-15 million.

So as it is, Fox News reaches about 1/10th the audience of the rest of the liberal fake news media the public views.

And Fox News is the enemy of the people...…

Fox IMO is just the worst of the bunch for their editorial content. All of the News Channels are IMO for crap. My opinions of the big three as follows.
Fox:
Generally decent News Coverage when they do news coverage. Most glaring failing, covering man bites dog stories when they simply do not want to cover a real news story AT ALL. But then you get to their evening broadcasting and they are more off the rails than anybody else. Utter trash broadcasting even for editorializing and they make me wonder if their "decent" news coverage is a means to an end, providing a lead in to their nighttime whack job stuff.
CNN:
Cropping actual video and editing actual news audio in such a way as to bias it is not beyond them AT ALL. Their nighttime editorial stuff is not as strident and whacked out as Fox but it is only IMO marginally better. I would actually prefer the Fox standard as to news in simply not covering a story that they don't want to cover as opposed to cropping and editing actual news.
MSNBC:
Pretty even handed for news though I should have mentioned at the top that none of these channels engage in much news gathering. They depend on WAPO, NYT, the Trib, LAT and the wires for their news and they editorialize off of it. Sometimes they will take "news" from their networks but the channels are not news gathering. Anyway, they are not bad for news and when they screw up a news piece an actual news piece, they tend to admit it. That is more than I can say for CNN.

It is worth paying attention to how each of the big three lines up its evening hosts. I will use MSNBC as an example.

Mathews is OK sort of. He has lost his fastball and it shows. Makes sense he gets the 7PM slot or no slot at all.

Chris Hays is next and he is decent if not a bit lacking in an actual knowledge base to work from. He is typical of the younger News Channel host. He is topical, attractive, urban, not too bright. Must have missed some college classes.

Maddow though much maligned in these pages is pretty sharp. She is an excellent Columnist able to cut a through-line through the dots AND do it such that it is understandable to her audience. She is a nighttime News Channel gem. She does sometimes go off on something she should not go off on and that is where she deserves criticism. Its rare though. She is a logical thinker which is what allows her to take a bunch of dots gathered by reporters, throw them on her desk and find the through-line. Very impressed with the way her mind works.

Lawrence O'Donnell to me is a disaster. The Left's and MSNBC's version of Hannity. That is all I got on O'Donnell. If it were my decision to make I would either move or fire O'Donnell.

Brian Williams deserves a better slot unless MSNBC thinks it vitally important that they have a steady hand to close out the news cycle going from 11 to 12 midnight. If that is what they were shooting for in Williams that is what they have.

63 million people voted for President Trump. According to the ratings, 5% of that total watch Fox.

So how can something that reaches so few people be an enemy?

I think the real enemy of the people are all three cable news networks which has taken sides in our political battles instead of just reporting on them. I understand how Democrats, liberals, progressives think Fox is the demon, also how Republicans and conservatives view CNN and MSNBC as the devil in the house. Not to mention the pro and anti Trumpers. Now one must remember these networks are corporation owned, in the news business to make money. To do that they must keep their viewers happy in order to keep them glued to the tube and obtain new viewers. Each network viewers want their news to suit their political ideology, to reinforce if you will the viewers view of the world of politics. All three accomplish this by giving the viewer what it wants in the way the viewer wants it.

Trust in the mass media has hit a record low. Down to 32% of all Americans who trust the media to report the news in a fair, accurate, full manner. It's interesting to note that in 1976 72% of all Americans trust the media to report the news fully, fairly and accurately. Then came the advent of CNN and cable news. That trust fell into the 50's during Bill Clinton, down into the 40's in the last year or so of Bush and through Obama, now at 32%.

This goes to prove that we Americans, those who are political minded want their news in a manner that shows the other guy, the other party as rats while reinforcing our guy and party as the good guys in the white hat fighting for truth, justice and the American way. Oh yes, there is no doubt about the prime time news shows....this is not reporting news as it happens. It's showmanship with supreme biases to whichever party they support, albeit they all say they report news trustworthy. Could anything be further from the truth?

These are extremely wealthy individuals and corporations who own these news agencies, who spread the desires of these individuals, and if they don't, they will find themselves in the unemployment line. They read what they are told to read. Important to use common sense in watching these people, use our own minds and judge accordingly, understanding that we can be swayed easily by these pundits, whether republican or democrat, for they have agendas.

The problem with the OP is that fox news is ranked the number 1 news station in the country with the most people in the what is deemed the critical
voting block. 25-55 age group.

The RW has been doing this for decades. Since Newt's speakership, and prior, even to the McCarthy era; Rush, Hannity, Ingraham, Coulter, Limbaugh. Carlson to a lesser extent.

There is no literal match for the right wing publishing machine on the left. The right wing has been pushing seditious, dehumanizing rhetoric for decades. The 1st amendment protects this right; but it also protects my right to call out their odious, hate filled, divisive rhetoric.

Look at Candace Owens. She goes on and on about how liberals and democrats are enemies of the country; how Obama is responsible for the division; how she doesn't recall RACISM in her lifetime prior to Obama. That being said, she also successfully sued her city when she was younger for $37,500 due to her recieving racist phone calls from a politician's kid.

Convenient, that.

Fox news right now is the sole bloc protecting the president from a watershed of disapproval. They are state media, state propaganda, and they are constantly pushing false narratives, outright lies, and should be absolutely admonished for claiming they're "fair" or "balanced."
