I was watching the news to see what President Trump had to say. He was to speak for a few minutes in the Rose Garden.

Immediately before this, PEACEFUL protesters were pushed away with tear gas, rubber bullets, and flash bangs.

WASHINGTON — Police set off tear gas bombs trying to disperse protesters before President Donald Trump was to address the nation.
There was a strong police presence and officers moved to get the protesters away from Lafayette Park, across from the White House.
About 1,000 demonstrators had gathered to protest the death of George Floyd in Minnesota.

So it appears now that after all, this aggressive treatment of peaceful protesters was so President Trump could take a trip to St John's Episcopal Church.

They did this so that the POS could do a photo op, waving a bible in front of a church.

He needs sedation, a straight jacket and a rubber room thousands of miles away.

The protest we are speaking to that was a PEACEFUL protest happening in Lafayette Park adjacent to WH around 6 PM today. It was peaceful. It is a protest that should have been an example. Around 630 PM the one sided aggressiveness (pushback with teargas, rubber bullets, flashbangs, etc) occurred.

Right after that the POTUS was talking about how he was a friend to peaceful protesters and respected them.:lamo

It turns out that this aggressiveness against the PeACEFUL protesters was about a photo op for POTUS. He wanted to have a photo op in front of a church with Bible in hand.

He friggen escalated the situation.

This is a thread based on a peaceful protest that occurred within the past 2 hours. Don't you think peaceful protesters should be left alone?

The only thing I added was to assume the trip to the church was for a photo op. But look at the unedited footage and tell me that was not a photo op.

Did you watch the footage of what occurred between 6 and 730 pm (eastern time) today at Lafayette Park. The was no rioting. It was a peaceful protest.

If they wanted to do that crap to a PEACEFUL protest...wait until curfew and then push back.

Look at the footage that occurred between 6 and 730 PM at Lafayette Park today (June 1st) tell me this was not a peaceful protest.

They actions escalated tensions.
