The Last-Minute Character Assassination of Judge Kavanaugh

kavanaugh didn't say he didn't do it. He said he "didn't have a recollection." I know that if I was accused of this, no matter how drunk, I'd remember.

Regarding your first sentence. Nobody is hanging K., we're just asking to delay until this matter can be investigated. Of course, you don't care if he's a rapist -- just like Republicans didn't care that they were supporting a pedophile in the Senate race. You guys only care about fulfilling an agenda. Morality is job two (if that.)
You've never been that drunk:lol:

Been heard.
FBI explored. Found no need to open an investigation. Given that there can be little doubt of the FBI's resources, I'm thinking this is just a political ploy.

I hope it fails.
Glad to see Republicans supporting the conclusions of the FBI.

Brett Kavanaugh dismisses sexual assault allegations as ?completely false? | Fox News

“This is a completely false allegation. I have never done anything like what the accuser describes—to her or to anyone,” Kavanaugh said in the statement Monday. “Because this never happened, I had no idea who was making the accusation until she identified herself yesterday. I am willing to talk to the Senate Judiciary Committee in any way the Committee deems appropriate to refute this false allegation, from 36 years ago, and defend my integrity.”

you were saying again?

There is no reason to delay anything.
She either has proof that he did something nor she didn't.
If she doesn't then this is nothing more than a political ploy to delay the vote.

which is exactly what this is as Feinstien knew about this in JULY.
if she was so concerned why not come out with it then so that it could be taken care of?

ol yea they thought they could hang him during the hearings.
There is no police report no arrest warrant.

In 30 years of investigating the FBI has found no other evidence of sexual misconduct.
again you don't care about facts.

Please don't mention morality. you don't care about it. this is all political. YOu could give 2 rats ass about this women.

If simply hearing of an allegation (decades ago), not supported by any police report or arrest, much less a conviction, is grounds for not hiring (or firing) someone then you have totally tossed the presumption of innocence. That Obama wrote of his illegal cocaine possession/use in his younger days is a more damning 'fact' than someone else saying that they once witnessed such criminal activity by Obama. Bill Clinton made similarly bizarre statements about his alleged illegal marijuana use - he first claimed that he never inhaled yet later claimed to have stopped using marijuana because he did not like its effects.

The accuser had named a now conservative writer Mark Judge as Kavanaugh's teenage accomplice in the assault. Mark Judge describes an institution where alcoholism was rampant, a theme he detailed in his 1997 addiction memoir, Wasted: Tales of a Gen X Drunk.

That book chronicles Judge’s time as a teenage alcoholic. Like many works of the genre, it devotes a lot of ink to the kinds of debauchery that leads to AA and recovery. While there’s nothing in the book that resembles the incident reportedly described in the private letter given to the FBI, Judge says his own black-out drinking while he and Kavanaugh were Georgetown Prep students “reached the point where once I had the first beer, I found it impossible to stop until I was completely annihilated.”

He describes, for instance, what happened after a night of heavy drinking with friends at a Georgetown bar. “The next thing I knew, I was lying on a bathroom floor. I was curled up in the fetal position with saliva running out of the side of my mouth,” Judge writes, explaining that he had inexplicably woken up inside a nearby Four Seasons Hotel. He writes that he called his mom for help getting home. “I must have come over here and passed out,” he tells her.

The amount of drinking Judge describes himself undertaking might suggest that his memory of those days may not be entirely reliable.

Sexual assault, even if committed decades ago, is disqualifying for a judge nominated to the Supreme Court. The first two posts in this thread seem to indicate that Kavanaugh should get a pass. And no, it's not "character assassination" to reveal events that happened, even when Kavanaugh was 17.

Moreover, while the conservative narrative is that he is kindly "basketball dad," his jurisprudence as a federal judge shows a distinct hostility to women's rights. It isn't much of a stretch to imagine that he might have acted upon such impulses at some point in his life.

At the very least, the nomination should be put on hold until the FBI weighs in.

The FBI HAS "Weighed in" and dumped the case as trash.

And predictably now now many Democrats against don't.

Just because the leadership of the FBI was corrupt doesn't mean the whole FBI is corrupt.

Most are good people. It's just the top-tier cabal who were criminals. Most of them are now gone, which is good, but they need to face criminal charges.

Lmao, ah so the top tier cabal had nothing to do with this conclusion, but yes with others clearing Democrats. Gotcha.

So then yes, the top tier clears Republicans, clears Democrats, but it is only being corrupt when it clears Democrats.

Oh, I am for it. I have no dog in this fight because I'm just revelling in the morally inept slamming each other down. I think the people who started screaming that the FBI was deep state run is to blame for this confusion.

You?

I do not even believe that is possible. There are quite a few people there. I imagine some are quite sane.

Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) released a letter on Friday with statements from 65 women who attended high school with Kavanaugh and all vouched for his character and treatment of women as a student.

there is this as well so 65 women who went to high school with him don't count right?

The FBI HAS "Weighed in" and dumped the case as trash.

Link please.

You can't just make up your own facts. That's exclusively the job of the White House.

Interesting that they just happened to have statements of 65 women who Kavanaugh didn't rape. Besides, Kavanaugh attended an all-boys HS.

The logic is expressed by Emily Nunn on Twitter, who joked, “Ted Bundy was innocent. I know this because he never killed me.”

yes there are and i think the day to day FBI guys are just that. Good guys wanting to do the right thing.
The issue is that you don't move up into the upper echelon of the FBI without being friends with people.

You don't get there unless you are playing the game. which means when the time comes those guys are going to want
payment in return.

so if we are going by he said she said then 65 women > 1.
also the FBI included it in his profile but said there were issues with the letter and the statements.

her own psychologist has disputed her points and in fact she says he is wrong. lol.

so we have multiple people that contradict her story and you still cling to it.

also he didn't rape anyone.

why you seem to be ok with making up your own facts?

Of course, the other underage party guests were also apt to have been drinking so their (fuzzy?) accounts of events (decades ago) at that party should be suspect as well. Using your guilt by association theory, were not all of the underage drinkers at that party guilty? It appears that you wish to take only the word of the (also drinking and/or drunk?) accuser as valid because you, somehow, know that only she is telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Was she groped at the party? Possibly. Was Kavanaugh the (sole) groper? Possibly. Was she saved 'from possible rape and death' by (the even drunker?) Judge? Who knows - since Judge does not confirm it.

so you can't support your own argument now?

ok got it.

we have 65+ people that say he never behaved or acted like that.
we have the women's own psychologist that puts holes into her story.

Yet you will still cling to it because you want it to be true.

PS you said he raped them he didn't rape anyone unless you have proof he did.

I haven't. Next.

sure you are. you are saying that he did something to this women without proof or evidence.
that is called making up facts.

the only thing you have is that well she said it.

You haven't been paying attention and only read what you want to read. I clearly stated that we shouldn't rush to pass this nomination before an investigation.
