The interview Mike Pompeo hopes nobody will watch

You do realize you're spreading the truth right? And that this means you hate America?

I'm going to save some people some time, and get started right now: "Send HumblePi back! Send HumblePi back! Send HumblePi back! Send HumblePi back! Send HumblePi back! "

:2razz:

Okay!

Treaties should certainly be honored. Backroom bargains that were not acceded to by the nation's democratically elected representatives, i.e., Congress, do not have to be. The Iran Nuclear deal was not a treaty ratified by Congress. It was a wicked bargain with a wicked terroristic regime that aims to establish a hegemony and dominate its region within the Middle East, and would allow them to eventually start up nuclear weapons development after ten years. Ten years after they had reintegrated into the international trade and monetary system and managed to revitalize the nation's economy. It was a deal forged in mendacity that was not in the United States best long-term interests, and it was proper to dispense with it.

Rubbish. It was an agreement which was working, as both the IAEA and Trump's own administration proved. There is no reason to assume Iran would not continue to honour the agreement which took years of delicate negotiation to establish. Trump tore it up for the sole, petulant, reason that Obama instigated it, and now Trump Iran has given Iran the green light to default on it, and why wouldn't they; there are two sides to every deal. The agreement was in everyone's interests; that you can't see that merely serves to underline how badly duped and brainwashed you have become.
Trump has created the current crisis; nobody else. America owns this. Congratulations.

It was an accident but Iran has multiple reasons for not trusting the United States, either in word or deed.

The Ayatollahs of Iran came to power in the Iranian revolution because their message to the people was based on two goals: first, they would end the 25 year tyrannical reign of Shah Reza Pahlavi and his regime, and secondly the new Iranian government would no longer tolerate foreign powers seeking to meddle in Iran’s business.

Call the ayatollahs Theocratic government autocratic, (it is without a doubt) but the Iranian people’s previous attempt at democratic government was cut short by a coup d’etat backed by foreign powers.

Conservative Americans don't want to hear this. As far as they are concerned decades of historical US meddling in Iran is to be ignored, and the inevitable consequences are 100% the fault of Iran. That's how conservatives here 'think'.

And some people would rather bode for a terrorist government with ignorant revelations about how honorable they are just to take a poke at the President of the United States just because they still can't get over an election.

The government of Iran has been training, financing, and providing weapons and safe havens for non-state militant actors, such as Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza, and other Palestinian groups (Islamic Jihad) and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command. These groups and the Iranian Revolutionary Guards are designated terrorist groups by a number of countries and international bodies but Iran considers such groups to be "national liberation movements" with a right to self-defense in the face of Israeli military occupation.

There has never been an agreement or treaty that Iran has honored in the history of the country. EVER. And you want people to believe how honorable these people are? Obama made a stupid deal that would have never passed Congress and you think we should honor it even as Iran has already abandoned that deal with their plans to ramp up production of nuclear material.

And you actually believe the US should honor an agreement, that was not approved through Congress, with the largest supporter and trainer of terrorist in the world, so they could achieve a nuclear weapon, because you think they are honorable people?

Thank God for Trump. The one person who has eliminated the ignorance of the everyday Liberal from the White House and awoken the American people to the idiocy of paying these terrorist (just like NK) billions just to get along while they all devise the worlds worst weapon while they chant death to America.

Only an American Liberal could be this stupid or try and convince the US how nice these people are just because they lost an election.

How about JCPOA which Iran was honouring, but which Trump didn't? How about the CIA financing and training SAVAK, the Shah's vicious secret police who murdered and 'disappeared' anyone objecting to Pahlavi's dictatorship? How about the CIA, the bastion of 'democracy', overthrowing a democratically elected government in Iran? Only a cretinous conservative would attempt to deny historical facts, including nearly 70 years of ****ing with Iran's internal affairs.
What the hell do you expect from Iran; gratitude? If you act honourably it will be reciprocated, just as Obama's hated agreement was reciprocated by Iran's commitment and compliance.
Trump ripped it up; enjoy the consequences.

According to Pompeo, the Iranian government has a long history of lying. What does Pompeo think about the Trump Administration's veracity?

It doesn't matter to Pompeo; that's what he's selling to gullible Trump supporters who are guaranteed to be entirely ignorant of America's history with Iran, and that's all they need to know. Trump relies on the ignorance of his base. "I love the poorly educated".

Blah Blah Blah, I don't like Trump, therefore we should cuddle with the worlds largest purveyor of terrorism on the planet?

Only a loony Liberal would reject the reasons for f**king with Iran and want Iran to succeed in gaining a nuclear weapon rather than back Trump.

Nah, I think I'll go with common sense here. Thanks

Is anything I said untrue or inaccurate? Are conservatives so ****ing stupid they don't understand that, by reneging on the agreement, it is Trump who gave Iran the go-ahead to increase enrichment? How ****ing hard is that to figure out?
World's largest purveyor of terrorism? Start at home mate; Iran-Contra. Ringing any bells? America started this **** with Iran in 1953. Only idiots can't see that.
Common sense is a concept you are clearly unfamiliar with, as well as the history of US-Iranian relations-if you can call 70 years of American interference in Iran's internal affairs a relationship. Deny it all you want; history disagrees with you.

The 1982-1983 Tyre headquarters bombings
The blowing up of a van filled with explosives in front of the U.S. embassy in Beirut killing 58 Americans and Lebanese in 1983.
The 1983 Beirut barracks bombing of the U.S. Marine and French 'Drakkar' barracks which killed 241 American and 58 French peacekeepers.
Hezbollah carried out the attack at the direction of the Iranian government.
The 1983 Kuwait bombings in collaboration with the Iraqi Dawa Party.
The 1984 United States embassy annex bombing, killing 24 people.
The hijacking of TWA flight 847 holding the 39 Americans on board hostage for weeks in 1985 and murder of one U.S. Navy sailor
The Lebanon hostage crisis from 1982 to 1992.
The bombing of the Israeli Embassy in Argentina killing twenty-nine people in 1992.
The bombing of a Jewish community center in Argentina killing 85 people in 1994.
The 1994 AC Flight 901 attack, killing 21 people, in Panama.
The 1996 Khobar Towers bombing, killing 19 US servicemen.
The 2012 Burgas bus bombing, killing 6, in Bulgaria.

1998 United States embassy bombings
USS Cole bombing
September 11
Riyadh compound bombings

And the list goes on and on and you think the world should abide by Obamas little back room deal with Iran because you don't like Trump?

You must have some real association with these people to defend Iran over Americas involvement to stop there production of nuclear material. Maybe England should get involved. Oh wait, they don't do that. Oh well, we will handle it ourselves while you cheer on Iran and spit at Trump.

How about a list of your meddling in places you don't belong, as well as violations of international law? Would you like that? Don't give me any of your 'look how innocent we are' crap. You've been ****ing with Iran since 1953, and what do you expect, gratitude? You get payback. Bullies don't like payback because it makes them whine in outrage about how hard done-by they think they are.

Foreign electoral intervention - Wikipedia That's just elections. Bombing, invading, mining national waters, assassinations, vote-rigging. You name it and it has Made in USA all over it. Fact.

Fine, You stand with Iran, I stand with America. Nothing you can provide dismisses the facts of Iran gaining access to nuclear weapons. I don't care about who shot john for the last 100 years. I DON'T CARE.

You support Iran all you want too as you are more concerned with somebodies feelings more than you are the current facts of the situation.

Reagan's backroom deal for weapons and hostages? Delay the hostage release until after the election?
I can think of a lot of backroom deals which are feverishly defended every single day here by those on the Right.

In fact, the Right continually screeches about Obama on an open mic talking to Medveded, about how there might be more flexibility after the elections. But no such screeching about backroom deals with the Russian press in the Oval Office and the US press kicked out.

Please, if you're going to go down a road where treaties are elevated to legitimacy and backroom deals are labeled as illegitimate, you're going to unravel half of our foreign policy for the last century. The only reason JCPOA wasn't a treaty is because a handful of Republicans had so much blood and spittle flowing from their vindictive revanchist pieholes that they wouldn't allow it to be.

I never said they were "illegitimate." I am pushing against this inane idea that it was wrong for Donald Trump to abrogate the JCPOA and impose sanctions on Iran not based on the merits of JCPOA, but because it simply was not cricket for a President to reverse an agreement with other nation put in place by a prior administration, even if he strongly believes it is against the national interest. Which I believe is utter nonsense. A new President coming in and reversing horrible foreign policy deals that were not elevated to the level of treaties and that the new administration does not believe is in the United States' interest is perfectly kosher.
