So Trump made the 'choice' to send people there without any safety gear? And they were working alongside CDC personnel that were in full gear? IF true it wasnt very bright on lots of levels, most specifically on those HHS people who went in with no protection. Im no expert on disease control but I wouldnt need someone to tell me to not go into an area under quarantine without protection. You would think the CDC people would have prevented them from doing so. Either way, none have shown signs of the virus and it is not the evidence of 'poor choices' that you claim it is.
You have this all wrong. I don't know where you're getting your information but these health care workers did indeed have the suits, gloves and masks. That's elementary equipment for any infection control team. There may have been other PPE (personal protection equipment) that they lacked, it hasn't been specified in the whistle-blower's report. What she did specify is that they were not provided safety-protocol training until five days into their assignment. She also reported that some of the exposed staff members moved freely around and off the bases, with at least one person staying in a nearby hotel and leaving California on a commercial flight. Many were unaware of the need to test their temperatures three times a day.
Understanding the intensity and ease of transference of this virus, these factors may possibly be a major contributor to the spread of the virus.
Her statement:
“I soon began to field panicked calls from my leadership team and deployed staff members expressing concerns with the lack of H.H.S. communication and coordination, staff being sent into quarantined areas without personal protective equipment, training or experience in managing public health emergencies, safety protocols and the potential danger to both themselves and members of the public they come into contact with,”
