He told you: refusal to execute a constitutional duty. This as you know but will lie about was based on the stupidly dishonest pretense that if a thing hasn't happened before - here, voting on an appointment to SCOTUS just shy of a year before an election - it cannot be done.
As usual, conservatives cheered on the GOP for taking the low road, thereby scoring a WIN! Then Trump wins despite being the far more unpopular candidate thanks to a holdover from the slave-era founding of the country. He gets Gorsuch without trouble, despite the profound dishonesty of their Garland maneuvring. And you lot have the gall ("Gall" isn't the right word, but this is upstairs) to act all offended that there was even a hearing about whether or not their next nominee sexually assaulted someone.
The "process" thrown away was that of fairly giving advice and consent on a nominee to the extent of refusing to so much as vote on the nomination. They could have tried voting him down, but no. That would be too honest for the GOP, wouldn't it just?
If the Dems wake up and realize that they get kicked in the balls every time they hope the GOP takes the high road and thus returns the favor by doing something like that to you, you'll be howling your head off.
Don't worry, I won't be reading the response. I'm painfully aware that I'll just get dishonest, stupid, and snarky jabber. Probably also a declaration of victory.
This post is more for the record.
