Was there anything in the interview that you thought he answered poorly? And can you give examples that were taken out of context and quote the entire part you feel captures what Trump really meant?
I can't speak for everyone, but I wasn't particularly outraged by the interview. Embarrassed, amused, and exasperated maybe, but not outraged.
For Trump's part. He's never possessed a high success rate in any format of interview. He prides those moments that he can just let loose and run his mouth.
In this case, he was far more reserved and you could tell it just made him uncomfortable. On Swan's part, he wasn't actually looking for answers.
He was scoffing, sneering and doing his best to remain as snooty as he possibly could. So with how uncomfortable Trump was and how insufferable Swan generally is. The whole thing was a mess.
As for contest, it's not even a measure of truth being told. Trump mostly gave boring answers and Swan was looking for his own version of confirmation.
