Thanks to Idiots demands police refrain from using deadly force, a woman died.

Didnt watch video but if there was any danger to public safety they shouldnt have waited to use lethal force.

Exactly this... but what unfortunately makes it really hard is that, especially since Black Lives Matter, police have to not only fear for their lives on a regular basis, but simultaneously fear for their jobs...

If they would've used lethal force right away, they would've got criticized for it... and now they're getting criticized for not using it right away... We've made it SO hard to be a police officer now, instead of having their backs and supporting them and thanking them for their service.

I didn't watch the video, but if it was a white police officer and a black person holding the knife, then what exactly can the police officer do without getting criticized for it?? He could stand in place and do nothing and that would be racist somehow... It's a lose lose situation for policemen, especially white policemen, since we've chosen to dive full force into this "everything whitey does towards blackey is racist" narrative...

If it wasn't a "white on black" situation, it then comes down to the secondary "police are too violent" narrative, and this is kind of **** you get because of that...

I hope all the Black Lives Matter people, and anti-police people, and anti-gun people are happy now... this is the fruits of their labor, and I'm sure it'll only keep getting worse...

I remember once someone, maybe Calamity or Vegas made the comment that if guns are banned cops wouldn't need guns anymore.

Sounds like something that either Vegas or Bucky would say... I wouldn't put it past Calamity either.

She was standing beside a building and didn't move, she has some small blame here in the sense she should have gotten the hell out of the area but...

She was on a walker. So, I'm not sure she could move.

Cops should have wasted this guy instead of bean bagging him.

My wife pointed that out to me as well, however I can totally get being less mobile and not knowing what to do in a tense situation with guns out. Either way, she died and that is a tragic outcome.

If you wish to view the body cam footage, please beware it is graphic.

So what happened. A man was reported with a knife, police respond and he comes towards them. Demanding he drop the knife, he refuses. they use less than lethal methods (bean bag gun) and the man is able to grab a near by bystander, slit her throat and kill her before the officers take him down.

THIS is what we can expect more of as this insanity about "POLICE VIOLENCE" continues. An innocent woman dead, because the police were afraid to use lethal force.

Enough with your stupidly dishonest and over-emotional threads.

People who are concerned about government agents' abuse of power did not cause that woman's death.

Please refrain from insulting me, I didn't insult you personally.

Wow. I thought the lie in the OP was bad, but that one is laughably so. You even quoted where I insulted your thread, not you. Insulting your thread is allowed, especially when it is as dishonest and useless as this one.

I'll say it again: people who are concerned about government agents' abuse of power did not cause that woman's death.

No, that was a very personal a rude comment. People worried about police brutality often base their fears on lies (Hands up don't shoot, great example) and that makes police hesitate, as this instance shows, that hesitation got an innocent woman's throat slit. So yes, they are to blame.

Jesus Christ. I figured this would happen when I watched the video.

This guy is in public, with a bunch of people to the side and behind him (bullets can travel a while y'know), as well as standing right next to a string of residences. The cop is something like 100 feet away at least when he gets out. He also was staying within feet of the woman.

These are cops with handguns, not with a sniper rifle braced on a stand.

NYPD hit rate: 18%

And Renae wants them to go rambo from a long distance with handguns.

What a stupid stupid lie. They didn't fire because killing bystanders is frowned upon.

If you're going to rape a tragedy for purposes of political grandstanding, make sure there isn't a video next time.

You know nothing. They shot him TWICE before then, with bean bags. Both were direct hits, they were less than 20 feet away at that point.

Get a clue.

The likelihood of missing is why they do things like use bean bags. Duh. (And 20 is, you guessed it, another lie)

Get a clue.

Weren't you just playing victim over a "personal attack" that never happened? Is it OK when you do it or something?

We know, you hate it when police use deadly force, police are bad. I bet you're the first one to call 911 when you hear a bump int he night though.

Second, I didn't insult you. I invited you to get a clue.

The subject was here:

Would you like to try to defend your thread? Or are you just going to splutter attacks at whomever happens to respond?

isn't it funny that those who push for laws that mean only cops can be legally armed in our civilian society, are the same people who complain the most about cops using deadly force?

If the guns were banned then cops would not need to have guns either... Innocent people win.

Tueller Drill. Doesnt have to be a charge towards the person holding the firearm.

And people are idiots for remaining frozen in place or gawking during situations like that. (I didnt watch so I dont know if the woman killed could have left the area or not).

Yeah, she could have easily left, but who knows what she was thinking.

If the man was coming at the police with a knife they were more than within their rights to shoot him. The police officer's lack of training, and ability to decern when lethal force is truly necessary is not anybody's fault, but their own.

If I have to choose between a madman killing an innocent, and then himself getting killed vs an innocent man getting killed by police, and the police getting away with it I will choose the former. Both are tragedies, but at least the blood is on the mad man's hands not our own.

Hahaha....cops get crucified when a guy is reaching for a gun gets shot, what makes you think they wouldn't with this guy?

your OP says absolutely nothing to support your bull**** narrative

I think you should work on your reading comprehension skills, or at least try to recall how people have been acting about police action over the last two years.

Hahaha....cops get crucified when a guy is reaching for a gun gets shot, what makes you think they wouldn't with this guy?

They didn't withhold fire because of worry about the suspect. They withheld fire because of all the potential collateral damage. It's obvious from the video.

This thread is just another dishonest political (wannabe) hit job against perceived political foes.
