Didnt watch video but if there was any danger to public safety they shouldnt have waited to use lethal force.
Exactly this... but what unfortunately makes it really hard is that, especially since Black Lives Matter, police have to not only fear for their lives on a regular basis, but simultaneously fear for their jobs...
If they would've used lethal force right away, they would've got criticized for it... and now they're getting criticized for not using it right away... We've made it SO hard to be a police officer now, instead of having their backs and supporting them and thanking them for their service.
I didn't watch the video, but if it was a white police officer and a black person holding the knife, then what exactly can the police officer do without getting criticized for it?? He could stand in place and do nothing and that would be racist somehow... It's a lose lose situation for policemen, especially white policemen, since we've chosen to dive full force into this "everything whitey does towards blackey is racist" narrative...
If it wasn't a "white on black" situation, it then comes down to the secondary "police are too violent" narrative, and this is kind of **** you get because of that...
I hope all the Black Lives Matter people, and anti-police people, and anti-gun people are happy now... this is the fruits of their labor, and I'm sure it'll only keep getting worse...
