A. The program runs from July to November 1, 2009, or earlier if the $1 billion appropriation runs out. Dealer registration for the Car Allowance Rebate System (CARS) program began at 7 a.m. ET on July 24. Once registered, dealers will receive a username and password that will enable them to submit Applications for Reimbursement.
appropriation ran out.
What about the cars already collected that are now over the appropriation...
Thanks for the link proving the Good Reverend is as always, right.
If the strategy of the Republican party is to stage "outrage", then enlist posters like you to "confirm" the outrage on forums like this, then the Republican party deserves to be run out of business, the sooner the better.
Link that the current cars being traded in will guarantee being covered.
"Dealers want to protect their customers and make sure they receive the rebates," said Sackrison of the Orange County dealer group. "We have every confidence that our government will honor their promises. The opportunity to reopen the program or apply for more funds would certainly be welcome."
Funny how you think it is the Republican Party, got news for you it's not.
It is Republicans, conservatives, libertarians, democrats and liberals. It is not about any political party at all. It is about people being feed up with a non-representing government.
Let the revolution begin.
About time.
How is a government elected by a majority "non representing"? You are not making sense.
The government has not represented the will of the people in a long time. The majority of the people did not want to invade Iraq, bail outs or now this huge sweeping nightmare of a health care bill. We wanted health care reform, not the crap they are trying to shove down our throats.
You can stay blind and continue to drink your cool aid.
I sincerly doubt you have a clue what is in the current version of the health care bill
Couple of things: 1) Don't ever **** with seniors, they are typically the most active in politics and do not sit down for anyone, this is the group to listen to and keep happy. 2) AARP hasn't represented it's base in years, and the fact that they have been swinging heavily left means that they are no longer in touch with their, or the country's reality.Do you guys realize you're discussing clunkers in a healthcare thread?:doh
I was watching this on You Tube while listening to Rush when I heard him mention it. It is quite a little AARP meeting in Dallas presided over by a bunch of people looking like they are all under 40 and belong to local unions (did I see an ACORN tee, no probably not). It didn't turn out too good for them as they lost control and walked out after of course the obligatory insult cast at the fairly good size crowd of their seniors.

I've been complaining to AARP since I found a link from their website to Divided We Fail. They have associated themselves there with SEIU which in my opinion is an arm of ACORN or vice versa. Of course ACORN is that criminal enterprise which got our president elected. I received an email from AARP yesterday asking that I forward it to all of my friends and family. It denied that they had endorsed Obamas plan and tried to disavow withholding of service claims, etc. I swear it could have been sent by the whitehouse. I responded in my usual verbose, articulate and civil manner that they were full of it and no longer were representing me or my rather advanced age group. Should I post it here complete with my response? Let me mull that over.
