Sweden Keeps on Winning Path!

Bull****. Netherlands is #32, Belgium is #33, in fact Belgium has less pop density than the Dutch have, so youre lying.

Countries By Density 2020

As I did the initial research the 991 I found was apparently for miles while the other was for kilometers, so honest mistake. I stand corrected.

More bull****. First your argument is pop density, now its "immediate action." Change the goalpost fallacy.

There is hardly any changing of goal posts when more than one thing can affect the case/death numbers. A highly populated country can greatly minimize cases and deaths if they take direct and early action as Singapore and other densely populated countries did.

In this case you are making up stuff Geoist, Pos is right, the Netherlands is more populated than Belgium. The Netherlands has 1,091 citizens per square mile and Belgium has 973 per square mile.

Meaning the Netherlands has more than 100 people extra per square mile than Belgium has. You are wrong, Pos is right. Fair is fair and when he is right he is right.

Already responded to his post. When I Googled it, the source I used said 991 per square km. Apparently it was fixed because when I Googled it this morning the number was changed. I wouldn't make up numbers, but I'm human and can make mistakes.

Nice cherry picking:

Belgium has 11.6 million people with 60.094 total cases and 9,805 deaths.

So if lockdowns were supposed to work, why does Belgium have almost double the deaths compared to herd immunity Sweden?

Coronavirus Update (Live): 14,969,351 Cases and 615,853 Deaths from COVID-19 Virus Pandemic - Worldometer

Herd immunity is no good to many people, IMO, because it runs contrary to social distancing with its notions of isolation. I don't think the politics of that is too difficult.

Side note; Since there isn't that great a chance for a vaccine, IMO, therapeutics would be the way to 'inoculate' the population. Therapeutics involves the building up of Covid 'antibodies' which is intuitive to herd immunity and counterintuitive to social distancing.

Sorry, point to where I compare US and Europe? That's not really something I'd put a lot of stock in, as there simply is no comparison to be found in ANY nation that is as pathetic and incompetent as the American response.

Also sorry (yep, I'm Canadian, I do enjoy a heartfelt apology) that I pointed out how stupid your attempt at an apples to oranges comparison was, and I'm sorry that it took all the air out of your ridiculous argument, but if you had read the article I posted, it specifically said it's death rate was higher because it measured differently. That's a pretty big difference, bud, far beyond regionality. Maybe if you drank more maple syrup, you might be smarter?

Riight, so the deaths in America is the government's fault, but Sweden's are due to herd immunity, and you want everyone to just forget about Belgium? Riight.

You keep talking about apples to oranges and cherry picking. Do they have mirrors in Canada? Maybe they do, but its clear you dont know what it is even though youve been staring at it continuously while engaging in the former mentioned fallacies you accuse others of. What's the Canuck word for hypocrisy? Answer: OlNate

Belgium went to lockdown by the middle of March, that gave them a tremendous amount of time as opposed to Sweden, and yet they still have higher deaths. Until you can come up with proper facts as to why this is so, then it proves that lockdowns are not the end all answer to what happened.

My comments had no callous sentence in them because it was not meant to be an "emotional" story about Belgium but a statistical and factual list of reasons as to why it is illogical to compare Sweden and Belgium when it comes to mortality and Covid19.

And most likely the Dutch figure is somewhat of an under count as Belgium was much more radical in just plonking people who were not tested into the COVID19 fatality figures.

It is logical to compare Sweden with any country since they are the only one to have used herd immunity. If lockdowns always work, then every country that did lockdowns is supposed to have a smaller death rate than Sweden has, but if there is just even one exception, then it means that lockdowns are not perfect-its as simple as that.

Belgium is counting deaths that are suspected, but not confirmed to be Covid-19 deaths. So they are counting deaths differently than other countries. There is your explanation.

And Russia is doing very much the opposite. Their stats do not show those who died WITH covid. They show only those who died FROM Covid, a distinction the US MSM would rather not make, and a distinction CDC has told them not to make.

My dude, you maybe need to take a break. You've actually crossed the line to where your response is too stupid and nonsensical to respond to. You cannot compare two things that are measured differently and create a comparative analysis. That's pretty basic, bud, remember that song "one of these things is not like the others"? You're failing at Sesame Street level logic... Maybe this is why you're the fiction guy and I'm the analyst. ;)

Nope, your just grasping at straws. Thats the same link that everybody else has been using, and it isnt enough.

LOL youre an analyst? At what? Counting moose pies? Only in Canada would they pay someone for that lol.

Your obfuscation of what's happening in Belgium is akin to a Holocaust denier saying that the Jews werent gassed by the Germans because the death camps were outside German territory.

Are you ****ing kidding me? :lamo I mean, I rarely take you seriously, but this could actually be your most ridiculous statement to date. Congrats, I got nothing.... :lamo
