This is about humans survival mode kicking in and humans willing to destroy a nation economically just so they can stay alive. All this mask business and shutdown is just humans collectively saying this:

"We know that herd immunity works and Sweden has succeeded in not shutting down but we don't care. We government workers and non workers or those who still have jobs want to live and we demand YOU lose your business, your home and YOUR life, so that we, the ME generation, can live".

98% of older people with major preexisting conditions die from COVID. Healthy ones like your mom don't. So it is nonsense that you are concerned with older people.

In this case you are making up stuff Geoist, Pos is right, the Netherlands is more populated than Belgium. The Netherlands has 1,091 citizens per square mile and Belgium has 973 per square mile.

Meaning the Netherlands has more than 100 people extra per square mile than Belgium has. You are wrong, Pos is right. Fair is fair and when he is right he is right.

PoS is right Geoist is wrong. We are more populated (16 most populated country according to wiki and Belgium is 22 and last time I checked being the 16th most populated country is more populated than the 22nd on the list).

My comments had no callous sentence in them because it was not meant to be an "emotional" story about Belgium but a statistical and factual list of reasons as to why it is illogical to compare Sweden and Belgium when it comes to mortality and Covid19.

And most likely the Dutch figure is somewhat of an under count as Belgium was much more radical in just plonking people who were not tested into the COVID19 fatality figures.

Sorry, point to where I compare US and Europe? That's not really something I'd put a lot of stock in, as there simply is no comparison to be found in ANY nation that is as pathetic and incompetent as the American response. :shrug:

Also sorry (yep, I'm Canadian, I do enjoy a heartfelt apology) that I pointed out how stupid your attempt at an apples to oranges comparison was, and I'm sorry that it took all the air out of your ridiculous argument, but if you had read the article I posted, it specifically said it's death rate was higher because it measured differently. That's a pretty big difference, bud, far beyond regionality. Maybe if you drank more maple syrup, you might be smarter?
