A review of the surveillance material flagged by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes shows no inappropriate action by Susan Rice or any other Obama administration official, Republican and Democratic Congressional aides who have been briefed on the matter told NBC News.

President Donald Trump told the New York Times he believed former National Security Adviser Rice broke the law by asking for the identities of Trump aides who were mentioned in transcripts of U.S. surveillance of foreign targets. Normally, the identities of Americans are blacked out in transcripts circulated by the National Security Agency, but they may be "unmasked," if their identities are relevant to understanding the intelligence.

Rice did not dispute that she requested the identities of certain Americans in the waning days of the Obama administration, but she denied any wrongdoing in an interview with NBC News' Andrea Mitchell. Her denial came after Nunes said he believed the names of Trump aides had been inappropriately unmasked and circulated.

Members of the House and Senate intelligence committees from both parties have traveled to NSA headquarters to review the relevant intelligence reports. "I saw no evidence of any wrongdoing," said one U.S. official who reviewed the documents, who would not agree to be identified further. "It was all completely normal."

This was and is a sad and pathetic attempt by Trump and his supporters to try and turn the attention from the ever growing larger Russian scandal.

And it never works.

Hmm.. that one unidentified official is both a republicant and a demorat?

Imaginary witnesses have great powers in liberal media folklore

They can be either or both depending on the needs of the story

That OP linked story goes on to mention one other unidentified "second hand witness" as a republicant aid which certainly implies that the first was (must have been?) a demorat.

So you admit that Trump was surveiled (wiretapped). Thanks, that's all we wanted to know.

Foreign targets were surveilled. If Trump is a "foreign target," then that shows that he was surveilled. Otherwise, the only evidence that Obama "wiretapped Trump Towers" is Trump's tweet.

Oh they know. Nothing but smoke and mirrors from the White House to try to distract.

The circle is ever growing. First Trump assured us that nobody with him had any contact with the Russians.

Then it was Manafort.
Then Page.
Then Stone.
Then Sessions.
Then Flynn.
Then Kushner.

The list is ever growing.

The bolded displays all we need to know.

Because if Trump says 'x', we surely know the truth is 'y'!

Oh they know. Nothing but smoke and mirrors from the White House to try to distract.
Exactly.

Which is why they revoked public access to the visitor's log, after they got caught red-handed in the Nunes fiasco.

"Drain the Swamp" my ass! Trump lies like a rug!

There are native born Russians who don't have as many Russian contacts as Trump. :lamo

Can you imagine what the Right would be whining about if Obama had as many Muslim Contacts and Trump has Russians Contacts

If Obama had as many Russian contacts, the opposition would have called him a Communist.
But, come to think of it, they did that anyway.

This was and is a sad and pathetic attempt by Trump and his supporters to try and turn the attention from the ever growing larger Russian scandal.

That is all it ever was, a poor diversion. Donny made a desperate 3AM tweet and sent several agencies out to reconcile his nutty claim, fail.

Ya that's why a BIPARTISAN committee and the FBI is investigating. You best strap in, its going to be bumpy ride untangling Donnys associates, patience is a virtue, and I am very patient, say right up until Nov 2018, lots of mileage in this football.

Unmasking made him a surveilled person, legal or not. It was done. That fact that you play word games, proves my point.

That makes no more sense than Trump's tweet. Unmasking made him a surveilled person? Who unmasked Trump?
It was done? What is this "it" that was done? The claim was that Obama wiretapped Trump Towers.

You are trying to hold this discussion to his (Trump) precise wording, become you know a common sense interpretation blows your argument out of the water. Political surveillance was conducted, and proven. Rice was in a political position because she's in the WH. Real surveillance is conducted and controlled by the intelligence community. What she did was consider extremely unusual, because the intelligence people did not see the need for the unmasking. None of the articles I've read show that she had a real need to know who the Americans were.

Shame on you Cigar for putting up this Lying Propaganda. The best thing anyone is actually saying about Dirty Rice is that the unmasking she did was not technically illegal.

The NBC article actually quotes no one except an unnamed source, which means it is most likely the Leftist Reporter making s**t up.

Aside form the most dishonest partisan extremist Democrats no one is actually declaring Dirty Riceinnocent.
