All this is the pot calling the kettle black. Each and every thing you have said applies to you as well from the view of a person of a different denomination or religion. Of course you could deny it, but that just confirms you as the denier.

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Cor. 6:8-10).

Those aren’t Protestant churches. Southern Baptists are a separate movement. Mormons and Jehovahs Witnesses are cults.

I understand what you’re saying though and there are no perfect churches, but it has been typically the Catholic Church that has covered for priests. It is tragic for a number of reasons.

The former is a political ideology and the later a political party. In the case of churches, protestant would be pretty much most churches that broke away from the Catholic church in "protest", while Protestant would be a specific set of organized denominations. Baptists are protestant, but they are not Protestant.

For the record there are two views/opinions on whether or not Baptists are Protestant or not because of the differences in their beliefs as opposed to traditional Protestants. However, the majority view is that they are Protestants so I STAND CORRECTED. Now if that embarrasses me or destroys my credibility in your view, good for you. You win.

As per your assertion that the SBC or any other Christian organization is on a par with the ongoing issues in the Catholic Church you are badly mistaken. Although there have violations they don’t even approach what has happened in the Catholic Church community. So there’s that. Your assertion is way off base and grossly inaccurate.

Why do you think the sexual abuse in the SBC just came to light? Because it hasn’t been going on as long and to the degree of the Catholic community.
