Yes, my parents are fairly socially liberal , but for whatever reason, they have voted for these scumbag (not Trump) Republicans for decades.

A lot of it comes down to the 'Magic Taxcut', where in so long as Republicans promise that - at some point - their economic candyland will eventually trickle down to folks like them, they'll continue to vote for these Republicans, everything else be damned. Nevermind how this economic policy has blown-up twice, and they should have learned by now the holiday doesn't go on forever.

My mom was like "I can't believe they might overturn Roe!" and I reminded her of electoral choices. She got pretty quiet.:doh
