So what are we debating? Whether the guy did something really stupid or what?
Only 120 days at a workhouse and a $500 fine?!?!?! The sentence is the dumbest part of this story.
No, the dumbest part is that he will probably avoid jail time by wearing an ankle bracelet.
It goes on to talk about the details of his sentence but not one word about whether or not he was able to recover the stolen candy.A St. Louis Park father has been sentenced for aiming an AK-47 at group of children he thought had stolen Halloween candy from one of his children.
What a dumb ass....Say bye bye to his rights....
Why do you hate the 2nd amendment? My right to bear arms at annoying children shall not be infringed!

If he was a cop and did the same thing it would be legal and many would defend him.
I think you overestimate people's support for cops pulling guns on trick or treaters.
That would depend on the age and race of the kids. But even if they were young and white, their fellow officers, some avid cop-lovers, gun nuts, DAs and some politicians would still defend them
Hey, I couldn't agree more...It should be a case by case review before taking away someones rights. But that is not how the very liberal Brady act determines it..."Felony" is the benchmark...Boom, they are gone...no if's, and's, or but's....You should be proud....That's what you want isn't it? blanket disarming of the population?
Usually St. Louis Park is a little more civilized. I used to live there.

They did that also.So....a dude pulls out an AK-47...NOT as a really bad joke...but as a SERIOUS threat, in order to recover stolen candy?
And our response...is to give him house arrest and a fine?
How about something along the lines of, he never gets to own a gun again for as long as he lives?
I sometimes wonder at peoples thought process, that causes them to so easily throw away their rights.Hager’s sentencing also has conditions, which include: Anger management, cognitive skill training, psychiatric evaluation/treatment, psychological evaluation/treatment, supply DNA sample, no use or possession of firearms or dangerous weapons,
