There was a time when seized guns were sold at auction

That was just crazy, melt them down is the only sensible course.

What matters is that she and her racist husband are convicted and are never allowed to (legally) own guns again.

The guy in the hat is wrong, showing a weapon to "win" an argument is not permitted

I'm not sure about Missouri but in Georgia there was a case of a man charged and losing his guns because he was in a road rage incident and held his gun up tp his side window as a way of saying "back off, I'm armed"
He didn't point the gun at anyone, just exhibited it

Nevertheless he lost in court, so no, the 2nd amendment doesn't cover you using guns as a way of reinforcing your argument.

Try debating with facts instead of your own bias.

And don’t be surprised when the McCloskeys accept a deal involving some form of counseling and a firearms safety course (specifically Mrs McCloskey).

Remember, the Governor can’t do anything until/unless the McCloskeys go to court and are convicted, and the state AG can’t do squat because the St Louis DA doesn’t answer to him.

Fair point, most of these kind of cases never go to trial.

ie: they'll take a plea deal (that they can't be pardoned from)

ie: they'll pleased guilty for a small sentence - very few of these cases actually go to court.
