Slate article shows how feminism fails women

Rapunzel, where art thou? I still cannot afford a shining suit of armor or the noble Art of the Chastity belt maker, whatever shall I do?

Women can like children and still regret becoming mothers themselves. Women who don't like children as a rule should never become mothers at all IMO.

so theres adoption, not murdring

but bioloogically, it should make sense that raising children is a good thing

mybe we should socially change to make it more enjoyable- such as promoting tradiotonal values

plus socially if it is not enjoyable we should change that by promoting tradiotnal values

Only for women who want children. Women who don't ever want children, myself included, should never be forced to have or raise them.

The "traditional values" like the oppression women were forced to endure in the earlier centuries? Nope, not interested. To me, the whole "traditional values" thing is like slavery. No thank you! As a woman, I enjoy having the freedom to decide for myself whether I will marry and have kids or not. I voted NO for both marriage and kids, as that is my personal choice. Freedom is a wonderful thing.

Are you going to abolish capital punishment and war? Otherwise, prevention is better. Why does the right wing have any problems whatsoever with the cost of an ounce of prevention over the cost of pounds of cure? Natural rights are not an externality to abortion threads.

But biologically, it should make sense that raising children is a good thing.

Opinion, not fact. Raising children is not a good thing for any woman, myself included, who prefers to stay childfree (no kids ever, by choice). I never wanted marriage or children, and would have absolutely hated being a wife and mother. Forcing those things on unwilling women is never a good idea.

Women have, "all the *****" and a First Amendment; why do women even have problems?

tradiotional values are not oppression

Sex and Culture - Wikipedia

In Sex and Culture, Unwin studies 80 different nations and 6 civilizations throughout history, examines their individual rises and falls, and concluded that the causes of which were largely determined by the loosening of sexual conventions and lessening of monogamous relationships. He purported that through stricter sex conventions and abstinence, nations could channel their sexual energy into aggressive expansion, conquering "less energetic" countries, as well as art, science, and reform.

scary

You mean when women were property and could not vote, get advanced accredited degrees, or even potentially work outside the home?

women were never property

women were never expected to go to war, so back then it was an extension to not vote

women could worked outside of the house but in a time where the heavy majority of people lived in a small space of people in a small farming town, why would they do that?

They must have been if they could be sold. And, women in the US did not have the franchise even though they were natural born citizens since 1808.

no they werent sold...

I didn't, and I chose not to marry either. Ain't freedom great? That's what the benefits of a good education and a well-paying job or career provide for a woman; enough money for her to be financially independent; in other words, free.

That freedom means she has enough money to provide for her own needs (home, food, clothing, etc.) without needing a husband to provide those things for her. When women have plenty of money to afford homes of our own, marriage is a choice, which some of us can reject if we don't want it. As I said before, freedom is a wonderful thing.
