I'm not claiming that race is the same as gender. I'm explaining that the irrational discomfort shouldn't be resolved with the creation of a safe space for those with irrationa discomfort.

People who have already transitioned and meet all qualifications for being in the military should be able to serve. People who are only joining the military so the U.S. government pays for their transition surgery, of course not. Transition, then apply, not before.
