One can't ban rope, but it is certainly illegal to use rope to hang an innocent person. So it goes with using string in order to jury-rig an assault-style rifle to effectively make it an automatic weapon - the finger and string used to make the "bump-fire" effect can never be illegal, but the act of doing so most certainly can be made illegal.

1) why should a rifle be banned because of cosmetic features

2) the country didn't fall into anarchy when abortion was illegal and sodomy was a crime

3) why does the negative restriction of the second amendment disappear based on how fast a firearm can shoot

4) if the government can ban bearable machine guns, tell me why it cannot ban shotguns or bolt action rifles

using a gun to murder people is illegal. But people like you want to ban certain guns. You are conflicted in what you claim you support

So now you want to ban rapid firing of weapons? You dont see how silly that starts to sound?

Ooops.. you are right.. I think it was an argument with Haymarket.. so if so I apologize.

Hmmmm.. well the nation was not falling into anarchy BEFORE the ban was in place.. in fact. the ban was unnecessary. As far as "assault style weapons".. yep a ban was tried. 10 years of it and what did the research show? that there was no statistically significant effect on the nations crime , violent crime etc.

So.. basically you want to ban fully automatic weapons.. that are not being used in any significance to commit crime. You want to ban "bump stocks".. which have been around for years.. and weren;t used for committing crime.. and was used ONCE by one person in the commission of a crime.. and you want to ban "assault style weapons".. in which we already tried a 10 year ban.. and it did nothing to significantly decrease violent crime, etc.

SO.. in other words. you support banning firearms and accessories.. which we already know.. won't do a thing but infringe on law abiding gun owners.

And for what? Because you have some irrational fear about what you admittedly don't really understand?

you continue to demonstrate ignorance of firearms and their uses-Yes you can use your finger and your belt loop to shoot just as fast as with a BF Stock. In fact with a little practice you can use just your finger

So, I'm on the phone, talking to my wife. Suddenly, I hear "Pop pop pop pop..." maybe ten of them. Then a few more "pops" after a little gap, 2-3 seconds maybe.

I tell my wife, "I think I just heard gunshots."
She's like, "No way. It must have been fireworks."
I reply, "Nuh-uh. Those were gun shots."

A few minutes later the sirens begin. Conclusion: definitely gun shots. So, I go outside and see bunches of flashing red and blue lights, at least a dozen cops and several emergency vehicles are across the street. So, I fly down the stairs and head over to the scene. I find out that two people were shot. Something to do with a cab. It's all vague.

Oh...the gun control part---this makes one more of many gun incidents happening in my vicinity or to my friends. I am sick of it. Ban guns. Take them and melt them down. And, lock up anyone ever caught running around with one.
