Children certainty do understand gender dysphoria, despite what someone has told you or what you want to believe. They might not know the terms but they certainly do know that they were born in the wrong gendered body. Children, tweens and teens who are transgendered know that their biological gender does not match the gender of their psychological gender identity.

How do people discover that they are transgendered before they decide to seek therapy, especially in small towns in rural American? You are the broken record. How can you possibly KNOW this about gender dysphoric children? Medical science hasn't figured it out, so how did you?

Gender dysphoria often goes away. When it doesn't go away, it is labelled as transgenderism. So, by definition, transgenderism doesn't go away. But that is BY DEFINITION. Got it? I didn't think so.

Did I say there was a magic switch? The ability to make rational decisions gradually increases, for most teenagers. Some people never become very rational, others get there earlier. What is your point?

That was wrong for them to pressure them. Circumcision and intersex surgeries should be illegal. I have read testimonies from intersex adults and some of them wish their parents didn't consent to the surgeries because they felt more of the opposite sex than the doctors and parents decided.

Their gender identities and bodies should be left intact until they're old enough to make decisions.

I agree intersex people should be left alone.

I think a lot of parents worry about it because they don't want to cause their child any problems, plus I think they're pressured by the medical field.

You have gender dysphoria and trangendered backward, which leads me to further question your claimed knowledge of gender idenitity as well as your claim of being a PhD psychologist.

People with gender dysphoria may often experience significant distress and/or problems functioning associated with this conflict between the way they feel and think of themselves (referred to as experienced or expressed gender) and their physical or assigned gender.

The gender conflict affects people in different ways. It can change the way a person wants to express their gender and can influence behavior, dress and self-image. Some people may cross-dress, some may want to socially transition, others may want to medically transition with sex-change surgery and/or hormone treatment. Socially transitioning primarily involves transitioning into the affirmed gender’s pronouns and bathrooms.

That makes no sense. Children aren't generally dumb? We ALL KNOW, and NO ONE CAN DENY, that childhood is a time of development. Until around age 7, a child cannot reason like an adult. This is all established and known to child psychologists, and there is no controversy about it.

I never used the word "dumb." But it is a FACT that children's intelligence increases with age. A younger child is not as "smart" as an older child, normally.

I don't know why I waste time explaining something this obvious.

No I don't have gender dysphoria and transgendered backward.

And by the way, PhD psychologists don't all specialize in sex. And people don't learn everything they will ever learn while in school. I didn't have a course in sex in school, but that doesn't prevent me from reading about it. You think there is something special about reading and learning while in school, that can't be done once you are out of school?
