Self described socialist AOC splurge on $300 haircut

It's not irrelevant. There are 195 countries in the world. If diversity is a strength, why do guys always pick the whitest ones for the US to emulate?

It is irrelevant. Your claim is deflectionary trash and a dumpster fire designed to muddy the waters with race based appeals to hypocrisy.

Truly weak argument.

This is the greatest and richest nation on earth. We sure as hell can make it work here and that's your fear. That it would work here.

I love how the alt-right blogosphere knows how stupid Trump Fan Nation is.

$300 for a hairstyle in a high end salon is nothing, especially in that area. Apparently Trump Fan Nation is used to leaving their backwater Alabama single wides for a trip to Super Cuts for a $6 snip.

I love how Trump Fan Nation is worried about AOC's hair now. This is classic!

I spent $284 with tip 2 weeks ago to get foils, lowlights, highlights, and a cut. In New Hampshire.
I think Supercuts is too highbrow and frivolous for them. The trailer parks instead pooled their money together and bought flowbees off the Home Shopping Network.

AOC is for sure a platitude spouting Bernie parrot. That's how she got elected. The vast majority of these progressive gospel believers would be amazed at how bogus their faith is if us capitalists stopped making money and hiring them.
Trump supporters don't fear AOC, they enjoy laughing at the spectacle.

Bernie Sanders taught her well. You can get very rich selling socialist snake oil.

The “LAFFRIOT” is Trumpsters like you fixating on a 1st term junior congresswoman.

Yeah, send her back to where she came from!:lamo While we're on the subject of tonsorial topiary, should we mention Trump's elaborate and creative coiffure and his hairspray?

To be fair. AOC is a woman. A $300 hairdo isn't really out of the ordinary. I know, I'm married. ;)

You know, i just never ask. It's safer that way. She has her money and accounts, and I have mine. That way, I don't have to explain the tools or new boots, either. "Are those new boots? When did ya get those."...."I think it was right around the time you got your hair cut and bought that new saddle."

And that's the end of that.

lol. Fred Trump never saw a billion dollars in his life. The president is a self-made billionaire. He got that way because he is a supremely discipilined intelligent and savvy businessman, as well as the top negotiator in the world. The little tart, Cortez doesn't know anything about anything. She has no skills. She's an imbecile. She's an actress hired by her Marxist handlers to spout lines and play a role.

Someone get some peanut butter, this post is dripping with jelly! :lamo

How is getting a $300 hair cut socialist hypocrisy? I don't get it.

Actually Soros is paying her plenty to spew his hate.

How much is he paying her? You do know, don't you? Why do you hate women; especially successful women, so much that you have to call them 'tarts'? Or is it just brown-skinned liberal women that you project your insecurity at?

You'd have to be a dumbass conservative to 'get it'. Thank goodness you aren't!

It's funny that conservatives have a cartoon caricature of like a 1960s soviet bread-line communist as their standard idea for a socialist.

Wouldn’t matter, Trumpsters don’t comprehend the concepts irony and hypocrisy. At least not as they relate to the right.

Seeing as most of them are miserable and bitter old men it's hardly surprising really. It's still 1957 in conservative America.

I think you got it backwards - those that actually promote total socialism for America (and it ain't Bernie or AOC), believe that EVERYONE would be able have $300 dollar haircuts. They would correct the redistribution of wealth that has been allowed to happen in America, back to the people, thereby raising the standard-of-living for bottom 96 percent of the country.

Any idea how much Trump's personal hairdresser(s) are costing the US taxpayer? I'm guessing 'Just for Men' stocks are fairly buoyant.

That’s a whole lot of primping and spray. My guess is just a little less than all of his weekends at his own properties.

I earn the money. The government then takes it from me and gives it to somebody who didn't earn any. And then justify it with some BS about how 'unfair the system is.

Hey I could be a DEM!!!

No surprise about that individual's personal behavior.

Like a lot of people, she is all hat, no cattle.

How is getting a $300 hair cut socialist hypocrisy? I don't get it.

Allow me to explain it to you.

The dingbat bartender AOC is self-described socialist, and an active member of the DSA. The DSA supports public ownership/control of the means of production. From their constitution:

DSA said:
We are socialists because we reject an economic order based on private profit, alienated labor, gross inequalities of wealth and power, discrimination based on race, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression, disability status, age, religion, and national origin, and brutality and violence in defense of the status quo. We are socialists because we share a vision of a humane social order based on popular control of resources and production, economic planning, equitable distribution, feminism, racial equality and non-oppressive relationships. We are socialists because we are developing a concrete strategy for achieving that vision, for building a majority movement that will make democratic socialism a reality in America. We believe that such a strategy must acknowledge the class structure of American society and that this class structure means that there is a basic conflict of interest between those sectors with enormous economic power and the vast majority of the population.

Now then, if the means of production regarding hairdressing were owned/controlled by the public, AOC would not have gotten her stylish haircut. Instead, she would have been put on a long waiting list, and would have eventually just had one of her idiot friends cut her hair for her. Let me provide some evidence for this claim. In England, the NHS covers dental work. If you need dental work, the state provides it to you for "free". This is the result. From that link:

NYT said:
Mr. Kelly's predicament is not just a result of cigarettes and possibly indifferent oral hygiene; he is careful to brush once a day, he said. Instead, it is due in large part to the deficiencies in Britain's state-financed dental service, which, stretched beyond its limit, no longer serves everyone and no longer even pretends to try.

Every time he has tried to sign up, lining up with hundreds of others from the ranks of the desperate and the hurting — "I've seen people with bleeding gums where they've ripped their teeth out," he said grimly —

It doesn't matter what the good or service is. Whether you're in a bread line, on a waiting list for a medical procedure, or waiting as the DMV for hours to do something that the private sector would accomplish in a few minutes, public ownership/control of the means of production results in a much poorer world every time it is tried, regardless of the context.

How is getting a $300 hair cut socialist hypocrisy? I don't get it.

The hypocrisy comes from this empty-headed bartender nonchalantly enjoying the benefits of capitalism while at the same time wishing for a socialist society - a society which would be devoid of all of the luxuries this dumb woman takes for granted.
