Russians have visited the White House, but not our ally, Ukrainians

Trump dangled a White House visit for Zelensky if he announced an investigation into Trump's chief rival, Joe Biden.

Trump hosted Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the White House on May 10, 2017. In addition to Lavrov, Trump shook hands with Russia's ambassador to the U.S., Sergey Kislyak.

Trump met with Russia’s top diplomat, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in the Oval Office on Dec. 10, 2019.

Trump has met with the foreign minister of a hostile government twice at the White House. The hostile government is an aggressor nation, Russia, that is at war with Ukraine and annexed a part of that country, Crimea, in 2014.

In the midst of the Ukraine brouhaha Trump met with Vladimir Putin on June 28, 2019. In fact, Trump has met with Putin five times.

Trump has never had a White House meeting with the representatives of our ally, Ukraine.

What does that tell you about Trump?

That has very little to do with the fact that our ally, Ukraine, has not been represented at the Trump White House despite the fact that Ukraine is battling Russia and Trump invited the Ukrainian president to the White House in the April 21 phone call. Zelenski is still waiting.

The death toll is 13,000 for Ukraine in its fight with Russia, and Trump didn't have the time to meet with Ukraine's leader.

Is that a hint where Trump's loyalties lie?

Yes. Piss poor diets, alcohol use, and chain smoking have been attributes of the population that is seeing its life expectancy shortening up in recent years. There have been a few other reasons cited.....pollution was one. I forget the others (no war nor Putin taking a chunk of the population were not listed in the report I saw, which was a bit surprising).

He did not ask them to announce and investigation. He asked them to coordinate with the AG to undertake one, specifically, "I would like to have the Attorney General call you or your people and I would like you to get to the bottom of it" and he asked him to do it "if possible."
