Russian official defends his account of Trump-Putin talks, saying U.S. accepted assur

Re: Russian official defends his account of Trump-Putin talks, saying U.S. accepted a

How about extremely narcissistic and can be manipulated that way.

"How about this Don, you beautiful, big handed man you?"

So you are in the "bumbling and witlessly weak dupe" camp.

So all of the swindles with which the Dems attack him are pretty much made moot?

If only he had confronted Putin and said, "Cut it out!"

That would have made Putin cringe. After all, it worked so well when Obama said it.

Re: Russian official defends his account of Trump-Putin talks, saying U.S. accepted a

Well, Tillerson wants all that oil money.

And Trump just says ****. And still can't believe EVERYBODY didn't vote for him.

LOL

So when you can't defend the ridiculous position the left has taken, just throw something out there.

:sinking:

Re: Russian official defends his account of Trump-Putin talks, saying U.S. accepted a

I think he was sincere though in his belief that the Russians were involved. I also think he was sincere when he said there was no evidence of any kind that the election process was compromised in any way.

I am not so sure. I have not trusted Comey since that press conference days after Bill Clinton met Loretta Lynch on the tarmac. He climbed through so many imaginary hoops attempting to clear Hillary in the email scandal. I know political double talk when I hear it. Comey was politicized to the point that I lost faith in the FBI altogether.

I think Comey is something of a weasel myself, but you know the old saying that even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

I think President Trump was 'dumb like a fox' when he tweeted that 'Comey better hope there are no tapes. . .' comment in advance of Comey's testimony before Congress. With such uncertainty of the President's ability to fact check him, he was far more likely to tell the truth before Congress.

And I remain skeptical of pretty much anything WAPO or the NY Times put out there citing their 'anonymous sources' for their information. Those who were actually in the meeting with Presidents Putin and Trump are most likely telling it like it is.

The behavior of the MSM re that meeting has been mostly reprehensible.

He certainly didn't need to "partner" with Russia on the cybercrime issue. You have to admit that is beyond ludicrous. It's like partnering with the Mafia to stop crime. Trump got played like everyone knew he would.

I'm thinking he did end up getting played, too. It seems he tried to do something different, then walked himself into a corner by asking a question that would have generated an answer that almost anyone else would have seen coming, and that left him with nowhere else to go.

It seems that while Trump is playing checkers, the rest of the world is playing chess. I haven't thought about this analogy in several months, but now it's coming back to me... Trump seems utterly incapable of thinking two moves ahead.

Or, he's five moves ahead, while some people are still trying to figure out what chess is....

Has there been a thread here about last night's NYT story about Trump Jr.'s meeting with that previously undisclosed Russian babe attorney last year?
It seemed like the kind of thing that would get the Rachel Maddow crowd here all wee-wee'd up.
Given CNN, WAPO, and the NYT problems ya think they're getting a little gunshy to jump on everything right away?
NAH! Probably just waiting to hear what the response should be.
What HAS Maxine Waters said about it, anyway.

Re: Russian official defends his account of Trump-Putin talks, saying U.S. accepted a

I think the real collusion was a few years back when Obama told a Russian ambassador that he could be more flexible after his re-election. He did not realize there was a hot mic.

The libtards here will want evidence of that occurring. However, to them, evidence and Trump are mutually exclusive.

Last I heard, she was taking off the gloves. (cough)

Re: Russian official defends his account of Trump-Putin talks, saying U.S. accepted a

I find it amazing that the opponents of Trump alternately charge him with being a conniving and brilliant swindler

OR

a bumbling and witlessly weak dupe waiting to be victimized.

Are you one that does this or do you feel he is always the bumbling and witlessly weak dupe.

Just wondering.

There is nothing "bumbling" about being compromised by Putin and beholding to him at the same time. Putin helped him win and he likely helped Putin do it. The American people are the ones being victimized. This sham will not stand. Our nation depends on it.

Trump had the opportunity to be assertive and grand stand that assertiveness. But instead Trump turned out looking like Putins bitch. DO you really think that Reagan would have done what Trump did at G20?

Re: Russian official defends his account of Trump-Putin talks, saying U.S. accepted a

The FBI has not been allowed access. End of story. No PROOF!
/

Then how did they know the DNC server had been hacked before the DNC did?

Re: Russian official defends his account of Trump-Putin talks, saying U.S. accepted a

Senator Lindsey Graham (R/SC) | Meet The Press | 9 July 2017 said:
“There is only one person in Washington that I know of that has any doubt about what Russia did in our election, and that’s President Trump.”

:applaud

There have so very many examples of Trump's people having meetings with Russians that they did not disclose yet another one is not big news. The news now is Trumps ridiculous tweet about a joint cyber security initiative with Putin. It has Republicans in a uproar...

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) early Sunday criticized the notion that President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin could work together to form an "impenetrable Cyber Security unit."

In a series of tweets, the Florida senator said Putin can never be a "trusted ally."

"While reality & pragmatism requires that we engage Vladimir Putin, he will never be a trusted ally or a reliable constructive partner," Rubio tweeted.

"Partnering with Putin on a 'Cyber Security Unit' is akin to partnering with Assad on a 'Chemical Weapons Unit.' We have no quarrel with Russia or the Russian people. Problem is with Putin & his oppression, war crimes & interference in our elections."

Like I said, I had the same initial reaction.
If it has anything to do with disclosing details of our own cyber security then count me out.
But I don't know what was suggested and neither do you, Rubio, The Hill or anyone else we've heard from.
We should wait to complain.

As for undisclosed meetings, there were dozens of meetings with countries besides Russia (it's not unusual for new Administrations - or Congress either, as we've seen) and ironically it looks like the latest NYT disclosure actually pulls the Democrat Party into the mix yet again.
FUSION certainly has been an active little bugger.

Trump has already knowingly appointed a Russian stooge to the NSA but you are still going to give him the benefit of the doubt for that ludicrous and treasonist post? Of course he is going to give away all our secrets and whatever else Putin asks him to do. Trump doesn't really have a choice, once you get in bed with the devil you are stuck with it.

And the cringing you refer to occurred when?

Re: Russian official defends his account of Trump-Putin talks, saying U.S. accepted a

And the cringing you refer to occurred when?

Do I really need to tell you? Or are you proud of Trumps performance at G20?

1. Trumps interactions with Putin was completely embarrassing. The so called ceasefire was nothing but Trump bowing down to Putin. The US gains nothing by this ceasefire and Putin stands to gain from it.
2. Trump could have stayed in the Paris accord and stopped any payments to third world countries.
3. Trumps pleading with China to do something with North Korea is pathetic and beneath the dignity of our nation. If China hasnt done anything by now they do not plan on doing anything. It would be in China's self interest to have to have the North attack the South and bog the US down in a war, while China and Russia take advantage of our position.
4, The "America first" policy will make us an isolationist country. Isolationist countries have poor economies since they are unable to freely trade with other countries. And that is exactly what Russia and China wants us to do, so that they can take over as economical world leaders and call the shots.

5. Trump was not calling the shots at G20 he seemed to be on the sideline lost and looking for his damn limo.

Take a look at the international news cycle they are making fun of Trump. And worse the EU is worried about our turn towards authoritarianism. But yea Trump won the electoral college and Hillary lost, thats what is important to Republicans, screw all this world politics stuff. The world is not going to sit around while Trump learns what is going on; they are going to take advantage of Trump and us. But go ahead and think this is all just snowflakes whining about election results. I for one am not a liberal or even a Democrat nor did I even vote for Mrs. Bill Clinton. Trump is an embarrassment to the office that he holds based entirely on his actions thus far. And the sooner that Republicans turn on him the more seats that they will retain.

Nope. Wastrel is a better word.

Re: Russian official defends his account of Trump-Putin talks, saying U.S. accepted a

I would think the people who voted for Trump, Conservative, Liberal, Republican, whatever, did so not because he was "conservative", but because his ideas represented something they could embrace. They were not the liberal/globalist/socialist progressive anti-US plans of Hillary.

Whether Putin or Trump can be trusted is up to the individual.

The fact the left, rabidly obsessed with the evil Russians and devolved into a brainwashed belief the President has a "bromance" with him, now choose to believe a Russian diplomat speaks volumes about the intellectual vacancy that plagues many on the left.

That they can't see they are proving that is all the more remarkable.

I ask frequently about Trump's actual ideas when they are mentioned and sometimes I ask if they could be listed so I might be enlightened. All I usually get is "do what we sent him there to do" or " make America great ......".
I will no longer finish that line as it implies America was not already great.

Who's the Russian stooge?
You may see the appointment as treason'ous' but the post isn't treason'ous' ... but I got your melodramatic point.

Flynn. Who else? Oh and it is treasonous to even say we will work with Putin on cybersecurity when he won't even admit his meddling in our elections. It is giving him the green light to continue the practice. Is that what you expect from your President?

Flynn lasted less than a month.

As for your other point, we should know some details relative to what he was talking about before anyone can talk about it.

So far the only people we know who were careless or worse with national security aren't in the Trump Administration.
