Re: Guilty until proven innocent... according to the White House
So, you agree with me that citing unsourced claims (like the Democrats are doing in this case) and not presenting actual evidence (again, like the Democrats in this case) is a game.
I don't agree with your false premises, but obviously an uncited claim from a
repeatedly discredited source (in this case, the US Chamber of Commerce) is not to be accepted on faith.
I thought you said ALL media outlets were in the GOP's pocket?
You thought wrong. Again.
sure, olberman, ed, maddow, BECK---their shows are all the same
Coke and Pepsi don't taste the same, but I have no reason to believe they represent fundamentally different interests. Or should I believe that Pepsi is "youthful," "hip," and "the voice of a new generation," while Coke is "classic," "nostalgic," and "the real thing" because of some ad campaign? Is this what you believe?
would olberman say the same?
I don't know - I'm not a regular viewer.
oh, absolutely, barack hussein won the white house IN SPITE OF the conservative bias dominating the msm
Clearly. The public ignored the wall-to-wall Ayers/Wright coverage for the months that it continued, and insolently refused to act on the perpetual media declarations that (insert development) was "good news for John McCain" or that "Obama is in trouble." When he went on vacation to visit his grandmother in Hawaii, he was attacked for going someplace "too exotic for Americans to relate to" (LOL @ Cokie Roberts), and it was insisted that his speaking English (as opposed to whatever it is that George W. Bush spoke) would "alienate the white working-class in Middle America."
These anecdotes were just a drop in the ocean of the general farce, and I can't tell you how satisfying it was that Republicans had drunk the Kool-Aid and insisted, when McCain nominated Palin, that (as the ubiquitous web-ad had claimed) "Obama is finished." It was beautiful, and I will never stop enjoying reminding Republicans about it whenever they indulge in their cherished "librul media" doublethink fantasy.
he entered the presidential campaign with such an impressive resume of accomplishments and abilities
The latter, certainly. There was a legitimate argument that he lacked experience, but talent counts for a lot - especially when the opposing campaign is so repugnant.
why, mere months after invesco field he won THE NOBEL
The Nobel Peace Prize, scourge of all that is holy.
the coc operates in the exact same way and under the exact same rules of disclosure as moveon and the afl-cio
And if the Chamber of Commerce were spending only on the level of competing organizations like that, it might be excusable - but they're flooding the campaign with vast sums of untraceable money in order to propagate bald-faced lies. It's a threat to the integrity of our elections.
i wonder why the white house, with its doj and irs, hasn't ACCUSED, on the basis of "it appears" and "i can assert anything i want, bob," the activists and unionists of criminal activity
They haven't accused the CoC of criminal activity either.
You mean foreign corporations like BP?
You tell me. Is the Chamber of Commerce receiving funds from BP?
Every time you speak, you prove my point.
Unless your point is that this thread is a desperate attempt to divert attention from the shadowy funding behind the CoC's propaganda campaign, you seem to be misinformed.
Legally, they're not lying - if the money goes into the general fund before being dispersed, then it isn't "foreign" anymore. They're only lying in the sense that what they're saying isn't true, and that's never stopped them or anyone like them before.
wow, there are hundreds of thousands of your neighbors who WILL find jobs if and when the reports improve
You're kind of missing the key concept behind the word "report." A positive jobs report is the
result of hiring having
occurred, it's not a prophecy. And a negative jobs report is the result of hiring having not occurred, or having occurred to an insufficient extent.
the greater significance of the jobs report, in this context, is it's gonna cost ms pelosi HER job
For our sake as a nation, I certainly hope not. But I can deal with it if it happens.
such an offhand declaration, so cavalierly tossed, such a neat little formula
You mistake observation for formulation. If those networks have created such a formula for themselves, I'm not going to pretend not to see it.
keith olberman, rachel maddow, shrill and thrilled chrissy matthews and mister ed schultz represent right leaners, all of em still bemoaning the precious surrender of their prized public option
I've addressed the difference between a network's priorities and its cultivated image. If you want to ignore everything I say and indulge in imaginary arguments, you're perfectly welcome. There's only one person who gets hurt by lazy argumentation and cheap tactics, and it's not the one who hears them.
