Roseanne Barr revealed how her character will get killed off on the upcoming spinoff of "Roseanne" after she was fired from the ABC series in May for writing a racist tweet.

Barr told Brandon Straka on his YouTube show "Walk Away," that the writers of the ABC spinoff "The Conners" elected to have her character die by overdosing on opioids

I loved the show and I will miss her...don't really care what her political views are...

I agree...the producers have cut off their own nose to spite their face...
 
I will miss her. And I don't think she's racist. I think she was just acting stupid. And she had been acting stupid a lot, and this was the last straw.

If it was the only way she had been a thorn in ABC's side, then all she would have had to do was take credit for the decisions to give D.J. a black wife (as well as bringing a crossdressing grandson into the series) to defend herself against the racism charge.

But she had already dug her hole pretty deep before she laid on the stupid Planet of the Apes line.


Soooo ... yes, I will miss her. I already miss her. I'm sorry she was so stupid and ruined the show for America. It was a great opportunity to add some humanity to our hyperpartisan nation and she blew it. I'm glad the other people involved in making the show got an extra year of work and time to go look for other employment on their own terms. But I will be surprised if the show lasts more than another year and if I happen to forget that it's on I won't feel bad about missing it.
 
Im sure the SJW's are glad they just destroyed this show seeing as Rosanne has donated more to minorities than the rest of the entire cast combined

Agreed, I don't see it working without her either.

I never liked her, but when it first came out my then new girlfriend worshiped her show. She kept telling me "it's like real life". Well, she was right. It was like real life - her real life - not mine! Which I soon came to know and detest, and I dropped her like a bad habit (which she was!).

The next g/f loved watching "Who's the Boss", and I liked her a lot better. Roseanne Barr? Or Tony Danza? No comparison!

In my OP I wasn't kidding about the "fitting" ending, because I believe pills may be involved in her behaviour. She admitted it in her Tweet controversy, and check her out here:

Weird how some of the left is taking glee in torturing her after she lost so much. Digging up the bones of her show and playing with them and laughing at her....
Another +1 for the "tolerant left".

I never really got her form of humor. Then I never like John Belushi, either.

But given her Ambien Tweet, and her behaviour in that video, I think she's under the influence of something - most likely pills.

I never was in to Rosie.

It's not that I don't have a good appreciation for white trash, low rent, trailer park type humor. I just never thought Rosie was very good at it.

I love The Trailer Park Boys though.

I think you nailed it. It wasn't necessarily the theme that didn't work for me, but the character - the person. Roseann herself.

Yet I could watch Archie Bunker all day long ...
