RNC Admits Not All People were Created Equal

So let me get this straight. This idiot RNC spokesperson is mad that Biden and his staff thinks "all men are created equal" is just so wrong, and we shouldn't be referred to as "people"?

And the Republicans wonder why they are going to get their asses handed to them in November like they did in 2018?

This is not a statement that a rational person would make so soon after the 4th of July.

I knew that someone would try to make that statement a literal claim of applying to only XY males, so I am quoting the Library Of Congress on the matter. If she claims to be a Republican I assumed that she knows who Abraham Lincoln is.
The concept that all men are created equal was a key to European Enlightenment philosophy. But the interpretation of "all men" has hovered over the Declaration of Independence since its creation. Although most people have interpreted "all men" to mean humanity, others have argued that Jefferson and the other authors of the Declaration meant to exclude women and children. Within the context of the times it is clear that "all men" was a euphemism for "humanity," and thus those people, such as Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Abraham Lincoln, and Martin Luther King, who used the Declaration of Independence to demand equality for African Americans and women seized the historical as well as the moral high ground.

She's no Republican. The Republicans don't exist anymore. The smart ones (like me) have either left the party or died with John McCain.

I voted for Reagan (84)and then H.W.Bush(88) and then I got wise to GOP economic and social policy that wasn't in my best interests. I've voted 3rd party a few times but now I tend to vote for the lesser of two evils, which means Democratic.

I continued to support the GOP up until 2016. When they nominated Trump, they lost me forever. The GOP disgusts me now. Eisenhower and Reagan are rolling in their graves.

I'd happily vote for Eisenhower but Reagan's failed support of supply-side economics and his pandering to the religious evangelicals ended my support for the GOP. Bernie and Ike are very close on most issues.
 
Men and women are not equal. They are complementary.

Men and women are morally equal. But we are different in many observable ways.

Men and women are equal under the law. Being different has nothing to to with political equality. That is what is meant by being equal in this context.

Good for you. Being different does not change political equality one iota. So your desired basis of law would change nothing at all.

I've slowly but surely come around on Ronnie. Not long ago, I would have put him up on Mt Rushmore. Now, I'd put him down in the basement with Bush Jr and Donnie the Moron.

Reagan's biggest sins:

  • Borrow and spend.
  • Use the inner cities as pawns, from pushing crack into them to cutting off funding for the things those places needed.
  • Warmongering
  • God sucking
 
I'll even powder my nose, get the kids in their Doctor Dentons, and greet him at the door with his slippers and pipe.
