Republicans have no one to blame but themselves

Do you not realize that this was the exact argument used against pulling our troops from Iraq? And you disagreed with it then but support it now. What changed?

One was done with extensive consultation, the other was just a Manhattan real estate guy's decision, who clearly doesn't like to read much or keep up with the news, except for Fox News pundits.

Did you say that when Obama pulled us out of Iraq? No, of course you didnt. What is our mission in Syria? Do you even know?

To get rid of ISIS, and make sure they don't come back.

We still have troops in Germany, Saudi Arabia, S. Korea, and Japan. Should Congress have to declare war to keep them there? You think everyone will behave themselves if the US just pulls out of all those places? Add to that stopping aid to everyone from Egypt and Palestine to Pakistan. You think none of that would have any effects on US domestic security and prosperity?

Are they being withdrawn against Congress' wishes?

Bull****. Everyone warned Obama about pulling out of Iraq and he did it anyway. The result was ISIS

To get rid of ISIS, and make sure they don't come back.
To make sure they dont come back??? Who declared that to be the mission? And how do you achieve it without an eternal commitment of troops?

At least POTUS is sparing American blood of our young men and women. Far more important

What makes you think the U.S. forces Trump pulled back wanted to leave their Kurdish allies/brothers in arms to be slaughtered?

Our NATO allies (the Turkish) are now busy killing (some of) our ISIS fighting allies (the Kurds) inside the nation of Syria - both of them allegedly deserve our (US) support forever according to some. How anyone does not see this as insane is beyond me.
Turkey is an ally of convenience (like SA), while the Kurds have fought and died (in far, far greater numbers) alongside U.S. service members for many years.

Fortunately, they don't call the shots no pun intended. That is the job of POTUS and Congress

Troops dont make those decisions. And because they shared our view of ISIS does not make them good guys. Are any of these Syrian Kurds member of the PKK?

Not any more - it now seems to be justification for keeping US troops in harms way and inside Syria forever.

That's a question for all the people who are ****ting themselves over Trump pulling 50 troops out of Syria.

My point: if Congress thinks it's such a bad idea, it should excercise it's constitutional authority to declare war
Those 50 Americans were all that was stopping Erdoğan from slaughtering the Kurds. He didn’t dare attack when there was a likelihood that American service members would be injured/killed. Now he’s free to slaughter at will.

Great job **** Nuts Trump!

The swamp wants war, always and endlessly. That should tell you something.

LOL Who is going to fight for us this time when ISIS regroups?

1. No ****
2. The enemy of my enemy ....
3. Can you identify any of the Syrian Kurds as members of the PPK? Far as I know, they all belong to the YPG.

Republicans bemoaning the fate of the Kurds have no one to blame but themselves

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.)

Amen :applaud

All his life Trump has betrayed everything and everyone. Now Republicans are all surprised and infuriated? Go to Hell.

The GOP only care about themselves and money. Trump’s betrayal fits with Putin’s plan. To ruin the credibility of America.
Trump wants to make money in turkey and Russia because he can’t do it here. Towers in Turkey and Putin financing are his goals.

Turkey is more than capable of handling ISIS.

Quite the opposite, Erdogan allowed tens of thousands of violent Islamist's free passage through his county and into Syria, better known as the Jihadi Highway.

Over the past five years, I can't recall even one small battle the Turks have had with ISIS is Syria.

It's Turkey's problem. We have no fight in Syria. Obama did. Mr Trump gave notice months ago we were leaving Syria. Nothing new. I support this effort. No more of our young men and women dying for wars we can't see from our houses.

That was because we were there. Now, since Turkey is partially responsible for ISIS in the first place, let them deal with it.

We have a fight wherever ISIS and AQ attempt to set up bases.

if...... if..... I'm sure if ISIS reforms, Congress will declare war if appropriate

LOL What? You don't think combating ISIS was good? Why do you think we should let Russia call all the shots now?
