Republican Senator Jeff Flake: Trump using Stalin's words to attack media

Flake is a fool. The media will give him good press exactly as long as he opposes Trump. Should he get a nomination in 2020, the press will have the long knives out if they haven't already stabbed him in the back with them.

Stop on...I don't think he realizes that he's being used and will be made to look to be just as big as a tyrant as Trump himself if he were to successfully run.

Flake almost always votes with Trump and was supportive of the Obama care repeal and the tax cuts.

I see this being said, often, and it makes no sense to me. Flake doesn't vote with Trump. Trump doesn't craft, create, sponsor, or vote on laws. If you were to say anything, you'd have to say Trump votes with Flake. The repeal of Obamacare wasn't/isn't a Trump thing. It's been something Republicans have been saying since the day it passed.

No one is attacking the press' freedom. That's a lie. They are attacking their integrity, which is valid.

Former gov. Huckabee had a very nice twitter message concerning the press:

Advice to @PressSec (and she should listen to ME!) At briefing today have Dr Jackson administer Montreal Cognitive Test to press corps. I think @realDonaldTrump would approve this message! Oh and invite Sen Corey Booker and his pal T-Bone to be there.

truly great stuff....
""When a figure in power reflexively calls any press that doesn't suit him "fake news," it is that person who should be the figure of suspicion, not the press.""

Except for the fact that they actually are fake news.

Trump has no vote in the Congress. Flake does. They are co-equal branches of government.

Trump made Obamacare repeal a Trump thing over and over and over and over again on the campaign trail in his promises to repeal it on day one.

Trump has no vote in the Congress. Flake does. They are co-equal branches of government.

Yes, they are part of the branches of government. As you stated, Trump doesn't get a vote, and Flake does, so it's literally impossible for Flake to vote with Trump. It's not even chronologically possible in how laws are made.

Trump made Obamacare repeal a Trump thing over and over and over and over again on the campaign trail in his promises to repeal it on day one.

Uhh...wut? Republicans have been saying it over and over for 7 years. Trump coming along late to the dance doesn't mean that Flake voted with Trump. I mean, these things aren't even a matter of opinion but actual historical and procedural facts.

He embraced stupidity. He wears it like a badge of honor.

I can easily see how a certain blind Trump sycophant would embrace that sort of rationalization for the public heroism of Senator Flake. I do NOT agree with it - but I can see the twisted and unusual sort of extremist belief system that produces it.

He deserves praise. He rose above party and embraced principle.

He doesn't have a party. He was on the way out and now he's trying to rebrand himself. I can't believe people are buying it.

No its not. Go back and read what I wrote. He supported the repeal of Obama care which Trump pushed for and supported and made very public and he supported the tax cut package that Trump did the same on. He voted both of those important issues in-line with the very public Trump position.

Actually he does and it is called the Republican Party no matter how badly the Trump apologists would wish it otherwise.

Yeah...he's on his way out, always was on his way out.

Yeah...he's on his way out, always was on his way out.

Which changes nothing about today and the next eleven months where he is a Republican Senator.

I did read what you wrote. Here it is again:

What you wrote is literally impossible. The call for the repeal of Obamacare was happening from the 1st day it passed. This predates Trump by a long shot. Sorry, you don't get to make up your own process for how laws are made and neither are you allowed to use time-traveling to support your position.

Oh my...aren't you a special one.

I certainly see the public stupidity of Jeff Flake.

Anybody that believes Stalin criticized the free press in The Soviet Union needs to switch parties; he's waaaay to stupid to be a Republican.

No, his lack of intelligence is the reason he compared President Trump to Stalin. That's some stupid ****.

I donxt expect those afflicted with TDS to understand how stupid it; birds of a feather-n-all.

It's really no dumber than the people that compared Obama to Hitler. Didn't you do that once or twice?

Oh my...aren't you a special one.

NO, i am not,

i am representing 70% OF the Free world , you guys are just couple of % ...so you can call me sir mainstream

If he's too stupid to be a Republican, a lot of people need to give up their memberships.

Do you believe that Stalin criticized the free press in The Soviet Union?

Can't disagree, there. There are quite a few Republivcans who should switch parties because they're too stupid to be Republicans.

Do you believe that Stalin criticized the free press in The Soviet Union?

There was no free press in the Soviet Union. Trump would have loved it, nobody criticizing him.

Do you believe that Stalin criticized the free press in The Soviet Union?

Koba criticized, and attacked free press around the globe, is it something what Trump does everyday ?
