Report: At least 3 killed, shooter dead, after attack at California school

Oh look, another shooting, with guns, of kids and innocents. Let's talk about healthcare.

Unarmed innocents, in a gunfree zone.

The NRA and right-wing's answer is ALWAYS....nothing will help prevent gun violence....so lets just keep doing nothing. That isn't an acceptable answer anymore. Reasonable and responsible gun regulation may not prevent every act of gun violence but it will prevent some of them and certainly is better than doing nothing.

The death penalty would prevent lots of murders. Let's do that.

Apparently,it is not a school shooting but students were some of the wounded.

Not that it makes it any better.

EDIT: Okay, I went back to get link and I think I misread what they reported. Very little info but maybe the school was involved just, at the moment, no casualties.
Jeanine Quist, an administrative assistant with the Corning Union Elementary School District, says no one was killed at the school but a “number” of students were shot and wounded.

from the Times
*So far* it's a 'domestic dispute' gone bad...guy took off driving and shooting at random, including through the windows of a school.

Thankful the kids at the school werent targeted.

Terrible, I cannot understand why people feel the need to take problems out on innocent bystanders, etc.

Shootings like this? I doubt it. Alot of these guys expect to die, either at their own hand or the cops.

Losers like this prioritize blame and punishment for others and the psychotic rush they'll get and IMO dont even think (or plan) for after their act. I mean, it's not like they can go back to their old lives again.

Hey NRA and supporters....Is it still "too early" to have a conversation about responsible and reasonable gun regulation in the United States?

 Yeah, that would work, this person(s) showing a whole lot of responsibility. Pillar of the community.

We don't know the shooter's story, yet.

In the case of Devin Kelley, if had been in prison for trying to kill his step son, the church house shooting wouldn't have happened.

Have you read his 'history?' The guy was a mental train wreck, violent from the word 'go.' He HAD been hospitalized AND in jail and none of it stopped him. But the DP was never on the table for him for hurting his stepson.

Because they're ****ing nuts.

Nuts in the general, colloquial use yes but not nuts enough to not know the consequences of their irresponsible behavior.

The guy in California? That information has been released?

****ing nuts is as specific as I'm going to get with those clowns...lol

so a domestic dispute that went into the nth degree

the anger of people is the highest i can ever remember

why? we live easier lives today than our parents did

we have more, and for most of us, we have more choices than ever before

is life easy? hell no...never has been, and never will be i assume

so why are we so "trigger" happy today....ready to blow up in a moments notice

hell...you see it in videos on the internet all the time....a clerk gets an order wrong and the customer goes ballistic

no one has patience, no one seems to have any degree of self control.....

we have become our worst enemies....in every sense of the word

something has to change, and "gun control" to me isnt the answer we need

could that help in a few cases? maybe? but angry bitter people are the problem

solving that is a lot more complicated

Not at all. Come up with something that doesn't involve banning gun ownership and we can talk all you want.

There are many things that have been proposed that don't involve banning gun ownership....the NRA opposes all of them and pays off Congress to oppose them. You can start with gun registration (like Auto registration), bans on high capacity magazine, mental health screening (things like Trump wants to do away with). Waiting periods to purchase weapons, national registry to stop people from going state to state to amass ammunition in a short period of time.

Yep....with you guys....any way to avoid having the conversation is good.

Uh oh, now I'm a right winger. Yesterday I was a progressive. Make up your minds and stick with one, people. Or, accept I'm independent.

You built a strawman to launch a rant. Just admit it.

Any time is too early for the NRA and the idiots that support the NRA. Sorry....but we are not going to be silent any more.

If more of those folks had been armed, the shooter would have been neutralized sooner.

The guy in California? That information has been released?

No the shooter you used in your example, TX church shooter.

(But I dont believe CA has the DP)

The death penalty would prevent lots of murders. Let's do that.

The death penalty wouldn't prevent a single murder. Do you honestly believe that someone thinks rationally about killing and decides that the risk of getting the death penalty is too great a risk? That's just ridiculous.

No rant. Just not going to be silenced by the usual line that its "too soon" to talk about gun violence in America.

reality

if it's black on black crime, the left ignores.

If an illegal alien rapes or murders someone, the left ignores

If someone runs people down in the name of islam, the left says "but but right wing christians".

If a left wing athiest shoots up a church the left says "mental health and gun control"

You need to go back to facebook and get a new picture, yours is bunk.

His "picture" was dead on, and you know it.

But I have to give you credit for one thing. You just posted 4 bold-faced lies, back-to-back, without a moment's worth of hesitation.

Takes a "special" kind of person to do that.

Anything is fair game to deflect from the issue, right?
