For example I dont see how escort services anywhere causes a problem
STD's were Trumps Vietnam.. according to Trump.
Medical workers are exposed to far more diseases than sex workers.
Your answer is no
So what laws, rules and regulations to you want to put on adult prostitutes?
I kept it private hoping then people vote truthfully.
The purpose of this thread is to see how many people expressing opinions on prostitution do so from direct personal experiences or from what they believe from what they have seen on TV and in the movies.
I got it you hate women and have violent sex fantasies so assume all.men do.
Who are you to speak for adult women?
Obviously you claim you do.
Apparently you make a compelling case why there is no need for any government assistance of any kind for anyone over age 18, other than the physically disabled. Any other adult only needs enough money for a 1 way ticket to Nevada and go the brothels. There they will be told their age, weight, appearance all are irrelevant and be hired. Then this woman would no longer be doing $10 BJs in the trailer park, but knocking out $10,000 to $25,000 a month having fabulous sex with fantastic guys:

Someone should tell her that a fabulous life is awaiting for her in Nevada. Maybe you should hand out flyers to every adult women you see at a crummy job to inform them how easy and wonderful a life they would have as a brothel prostitute.
So what laws, rules and regulations to you want to put on adult prostitutes?
People that comment on it and haven't at personally observed it are just regurgitating what the media says. First of all a sizable number if not a majority of attractive Venezuelan women have engaged in prostitution. At least those women don't have that hardened personality that some do. The ones that only do GFE service are the least likely to emerge from their lifestyle undamaged. That means if a potential client initiates communication wanting something other than GFE, come up with an excuse not to do the transaction. The arrangement I ask for it to get the sex out of the way then make a HAPPY day of it. I make it clear that a good disposition is a MUST. Most are happy to fulfill that requirement. That means after a meal or perhaps a movie, she gets to pick out a pair of shoes or something like that. I tell her the price limit, something along the lines of 80,000 COP. It works out pretty good.
The going price for a whole day is 200,000 COP / 500 BOB / 100 CUC / 500 BRL, depending on the country.
What about fat, ugly women? Many unattractive women are prostitutes too. Most prostitutes are not very attractive. Some are particularly not attractive. Not all are young either. Some are quite old.
Most pro-legalization posters are thinking of beautiful, intelligent and emotionally secure women that could be models - and keep context everything as beautiful smart and clean women working in a top dollar brothel making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year have sex like on dream dates with the Mr Right for a short time.
Any woman wanting a lucrative career would be an idiot going to college and getting a professional degree. Just go be a prostitute for 4 years, save the money, invest it well and retire in the top 10% economically. There really is not intelligent debate with those of that perspective.
That's not what prostitution is for the most part. Beautiful, intelligent and emotionally secure women don't need to be a prostitute to pay the bills. But some poor, stupid, ugly and messed up druggie women do. Most prostitution is at the bottom end in costs and quality - both sides.
As I have often stated, most people post on this topic based upon Hollywood portrayals of prostitution that they sanitize and stereotype. They are all young. All pretty.
Until you get to the cop shows. Then they are all sleazy, poor, victimized and probably at least one of them is going to get murdered.
Usually I make polls public. I'll make this private for obvious reasons. I won't editorialize in this OP. The poll speaks for itself. (Hope I can do it in the 5 minute limit).
Private, MULTIPLE CHOICE poll. Check all that apply to you.
What about fat, ugly old women? Many unattractive women are prostitutes too. Most prostitutes are not very attractive. Some are particularly not attractive. Not all are young either. Some are quite old.

Until you get to the cop shows. Then they are all sleazy, poor, victimized and probably at least one of them is going to get murdered. But how can they do that? A young woman is never safer than going off alone with a strange man who picked her up off the street and twice her strength, on top her for sex - or so they seem to claim. And certainly the man is safe going off to somewhere with a prostitute and his wallet.
I would consider marrying an ex-prostitute.
I'd just make sure he was cleared of STDs or we would always use a condom.
Is there something this poll is supposed to reveal about a prostitute's character? About people who use the services of prostitutes? People who know and care about prostitutes?
Do you think any of the women in the link below make even tens of thousands per year? Hint: They will cost you about $150 per day / $700 per week (it's a bit more expensive there in the capital city than other cities).

I have no idea and no reason to care. I will say those are not beautiful girls to me. They're not ugly, but they do nothing for me.
Even if I were to ever hire a prostitute, never in my life would I hire one looking that young. Even when I was young myself. Everything about how those girls look is a turn off. Plus they're less than I have had and have, but each has their own tastes I suppose. Just being honest about it.
Well, it depends. I agree with you that most look too young. But if you click on the one on the first page called Thais Roque Arce to see her other pics, she is very pretty. The front picture she chose is not even her best; the third and sixth ones when you click on her page, are the prettiest. She really looks like a "girl next door", she is lovely.
It is true that most of the others on the first page don't appeal to me either, except that I'd say that this Zuleika looks way more vulgar than Thais but does seem like a sex volcano. Sex with her would probably be fun.
Both are 27 years old. I agree with you that the ones looking like underage girls are a turn off.
Edit - OK I kept clicking. It's very interesting. The young and pretty ones are pretty much limited to the first three pages. The most stunning one is on page 3, her name is Cynthia. Again, her front picture is not her best, but look at the others.
But then, surprise... click on page 4 and on, and they turn old and ugly! More and more! So this service wants to attract more customers, and they put all the young and pretty ones (for those who like the type - you and I don't, I only found 3 of them attractive) on the first 3 pages... and then, later on, oh my God! LOL
Anyway, my curiosity didn't compel me to get passed the first page. And other than Thais for her lovely looks, and Zuleika for her body, I didn't find any of the others attractive.

The only situation in my life that made me be in touch with prostitutes is my profession. Without disclosing details here, in my professional capacity I have had clients who had been prostitutes in the past, and needed my help in other (non-sexual) areas of their lives. I provided that help with no prejudice whatsoever against them; did my best to professionally help them just like I did and do for any other client. These were rare, too. I've encountered a handful, in my professional capacity - a few women who disclosed that they had prostituted themselves at some point to pay for drugs, or to feed their kids, or to pay tuition. With one exception, they didn't seem to be any different than my other clients, otherwise, except that they unanimously said that the experience was traumatic and embarrassing. I don't recall any of them still being prostitutes. They did it for a while, then moved on. There was one exception: I had a client who was no longer a prostitute when she needed my services, but later, resumed prostitution after she ceased to be my client. I heard it from a colleague who assisted her later. It's interesting to notice that this one was the most damaged one.
-------------
So the bottom line is, my opinion is that prostitution should be a legal profession, regulated, taxed, with health inspections, like it is in some European countries. This would likely decrease the stigma, make the prostitutes safer (from pimps), decrease human trafficking, and make their clients safer from STDs. It would also generate taxes for the state. It would also make it easier for them to get help if they needed help, in case for example of an abusive client, a pimp, a disease, or a legal problem. I'd keep pimping illegal. I wouldn't make buying the services of a prostitute, illegal, like in Canada where the prostitute is decriminalized but the John is not. I think this idea is paradoxical. Why would we arrest someone who buys a legal service? It's absurd. An analogy: let's imagine that making and selling TV sets is legal but buying a TV set is illegal... Hm... how would that work? Then, why make pimping illegal? Well, it's a bit paradoxical too. If it's free enterprise, a businessman might want to manage an escort business or a brothel and so forth. But the exploitative aspect has been so traditionally mixed with this mafia-like business, that for the protection of the prostitutes, we might want them to be able to legally incorporate in a cooperative model, but without non-prostitutes exploiting them and managing their business. I'm not sure how to make this work, legally, but my opinion is that the prostitute's activity should be legal, the John should be allowed to buy her services, but the pimp should not be allowed to exploit her. Making pimping illegal would also give the legal framework for law enforcement to prosecute human trafficking.
So, I have never used the sex services of a prostitute and never will, and I have never befriended one, and have only encountered a limited number of them in my professional capacity, so my experience with the topic is not great, but that's what I think.
What do we do to any other professionals who refuse to actually comply to laws surrounding their profession? A lawyer who has been disbarred but continues to practice law? A doctor who loses his medical license or who doesnt have a degree at all but tries to practice medicine? Someone who refuses to get a license to sell liquor? You wrote: "So the bottom line is, my opinion is that prostitution should be a legal profession, regulated, taxed, with health inspections."
Simple question exactly NO ONE will answer. What do you think should be done to prostitutes that do not comply with any of all those regulations and can not/will not pay any fines.
Jail or no jail? It's got to be one or the other. If no jail, all those regulations are worthless. If jail, then it is all but certain you want to far more punish and jail most prostitutes than now.
Jail or no jail for refusing to comply with new regulations and rules?
