You are missing the point. When you create a system, within in it you allow something to alleviate pressure so the system does not explode and create great damage. Nobody wants that. Nobody.

We have a system that under Trump seems to close off all avenues of real opposition to him. Trump holds his office with Russian help. He won only because of a mechanism from the 1700's that overrides the will of the American people. The suit using the Constitution emoluments clause has been dismissed. The Mueller Report - something which million had such hopes for - has been perverted and hijhacked and so far negated. Cabinet appointments are made as acting to avoid confirmation hearings and congressional action. Michael Cohen turns against Trump and goes to prison while others remain free. The House will not impeach despite a ton of bold tax otherwise. Scandals which would have doomed any previous President seem to roll off his back like water on the proverbial duck and are forgotten. And now we hear no charges in this latest Trump case.

My fear is when you close off all the legal and acceptable avenues of opposition, you force people to the streets and worse and that is something I do not want to see as it will further breakdown the system.

This is a potential tinder box and the fuse is burning. Those who care about the system should be both worried and concerned.

The Democrats biggest nightmare a President they cannot get rid of by their underhanded schemes. :lol:

Attacking one basic norm after the other and weakening them or outright destroying them. Respecting the rule of law is one. Understanding and observing how government works through checks and balances is another. Turning the USA from a haven for refugees into an abuser of children and women is a third. Weakening our alliances with long time allies is a fourth. Inviting our main adversary to help him in an election and them getting that help is a deal breaker.

All that hurts our nation. It hurts our system of government. And it hurts our people.
