There are more scattered throughout the city, but it's not a visible plight at any level concentrated like it is in the lower east side of Downtown.

That's in a city of 372.5 square miles.

You can buy a home pretty much anywhere in Texas for under $150k because there isn't a lot of demand for housing. they have to offer low prices for land and houses because otherwise no one would want to live there.
