Police officer shoots man with pellet guns in Texas

What nonsense... I am on the 'cops should know what they are shooting at PRIOR to firing wildly and/or shooting innocent unarmed people' side.

Yeah.. this guy pulled two pellet pistols out and pointed them at the police. A pellet pistol.. generally looks very much like a firearm (pellet PISTOL)..

Its certainly reasonable for the officer to believe that the man represented an imminent threat to his life or the life of others and thus reasonable to use lethal force.

What's interesting is how quickly this situation goes from "Hey buddy come here for a second" to weapon drawn and shots fired. The Officer had almost no time to react, in fact had the perp had real firearms he very easily could have been shot.

You won't admit it, but you're obviously using this to try to sell your usual routine in any thread about a police shooting. So let's nip that in the bud: when people are on camera actually pointing guns - or even a pipe that looks like a gun - at officers, you don't get people who watched the video saying that the shooting was unjustified.

You get claims that shootings are unjustified when, say, a drunkman abjectly crawls towards a group of cops shouting conflicting instructions at him and gets shot to death when he slips forward because, omg, maybe he was cleverly trying to quick-draw a gun in the most hopeless circumstances possible.

Let's nip your thinking I find your comments of any value. They aren't.
I'll break this down for you, to highlight how no one should bother taking your comments as being useful.

The point of this thread was how quickly the situation went from calm to deadly, and how little time the officer had to react. The video is rather dramatic in that reality. This highlights how little time officers can have to react and determine a threat. People like yourself, who sit behind a keyboard and chastise officers for shooting someone we later learn was not actually armed, mistake hindsight for wisdom... well not really, you just see a political angle and exploit it because it's low hanging fruit and you are not capable of making an honest discussion of these situations.

The lesson is concluded.

You run your mouth about not caring what other people, but just how many people do you expect care what someone who never admits being wrong has said?

Which is something you always say to defend police shootings no matter the concept.

Try not to fail like that again.

I take it this means you do not understand how completely and utterly retarded it is for you to follow up the typical pissant snark by doing exactly the thing I said you were doing,, then to declare victory?

Obvious a wasted lesson, still one can hope that at some future time, you will understand your mistakes and correct them, but I'm not holding my breath.
