Peter Paul Montgomery Buttigieg[

I disagree. I know young people who are wise beyond their years. On the flipside, I know older people who never became wise. Pete is clearly the former.

Alright, fair enough. I still disagree with your claim that someone like Mayor Pete can't get elected today because of inexperience. It is clear the American Voters do not value that experience as much as they used to. To many of them that 'experience' means ties to the Establishment and is an immediate turnoff.

I did not say he could not get elected either.

I simply said he is to young for me to favor as a first candidate.

I think you are right, I think few folks in a general election would even stop to think of the implications of youth.

I respect your differing opinion.

Like I said, I like the guy and would certainly vote for him over Trump without hesitation. Bozo Beto I would have to hold my nose as I did when I voted for Hill. In fact, I likely would not vote for Beto had I not had it reinforced by the last election that the lesser of two evils is very important.

I totally agree with this post.

I to liked Buttigieg's answers today on Morning Joe. MUCH better than the crap coming out of Gillibrand, Pocahontas, Klobuchar, Bozo Beto, Bernie... but he is 38. that is much worse than Crazy Joe being 76.

Indeed, get elected to the House, then the Senate then come back.

Losing a Senate race in TX does not qualify one to be President although that is being pushed in our face too.

Why is him being 38 worse that Joe Biden being 76?

Give a good clear answer. It seems you just want to bash democratic candidates. It's almost as if you are a republican.

Just what the DEm's need, another unqualified candidate for President!

Go Dems!

It is seeming more and more clear to me that Trump will be reelected in an electoral college landslide.

WTF?

He's got more experience than the current president and he's younger, prettier and smarter. What's not to like?

This does not even make one the most qualified.

They were certainly some of the most 'decorated' public servants to reach the presidency, therefore the most qualified.

Hill was one of the most highly qualified ever and she only spent one term in the Senate.

She was among the most qualified in her competing field of candidates. Never meant to imply she was the most highly qualified ever.

think you may have too much time on your hands so argue over nothing just to continue a dialog.

Says the guy who starts a thread to complain about a potential presidential candidate because he just barely makes the Constitutional age requirement to become president. :2razz:

My standars are higher than yours. It's that simple.

Would I vote for him instead of Trump?

I'd LITTERALLY vote for the crack whore who works Broad and Mccarter at night rather than Trump.

What's special about the Braod and McCarter intersection?

Well, you did say:

Knowledge. This comes with experience.

Like I tell my kids all the time, "if you are as intelligent as I am, which you are not, (lol) and i have had 60 years of learning and you only 30, how can you know as much as I do?"

I do not see evidence of either. And, I remember when I was 60.

I also know that there are plenty of people who know more at 30 than a lot of people know in their entire life.

Well, to start they don't intersect, they run parallel and there is nothing special about the area although is well know for the stadium there where the Devils play.

It sounds busy, and a perfectly fine venue for a crack whore to attract new customers.

So you think you are more intelligent than someone who graduated from Harvard magna cum laude?

and you don't get this uneasy feeling when watching a lot of these people?

Come on, be honest. A gay guy 38 years old is not gonna do anything but enrage the Trumpets and make lots of centrists just roll their eyes. IMHO.

Why would a gay candidate (who doesn't even advertise his sexuality) make centrists roll their eyes? We aren't living in the 20th century anymore.

Each of us has their own experience and perspective.

I find it sad if it is true that one has lived 60 years and knows no more than a 30 year old but I will not argue the point as their are exceptions to every rule. Plus, we all think people are like we are. And as I enjoy learning I somethings think we all do even though I know most do not enjoy learning.

Some who is 38 has a fresh perspective and more likely to be flexible in situations that someone who is 76 and stuck in a rut. That is much more desirable as a leader. Plus, the ability to handle stress is a factor , and I don't think people over 70 handle stress as well as someone in the late 30's and early 40's.

Not in the specifics of the studied field. But just what is intelligence must be considered. I hold little, not none, respect for degrees. What is a degree? It tells us that you have learned what others have unearthed. To me intelligence is those that unearth new knowledge.

I have, several times, out argued lawyers in court, twisted a PHd in psychology into a pretzel in discussion, instructed a scientist, taught my doctors.... I even screamed at (on my TV) Stephen Hawking in the 80's when he claimed information was lost on the event horizon only to have him recant that stupidity years later. Meantime I nearly flunked out of every school I ever attended while testing a genius. But I can't spell and never learned grammar! So just what is intelligence?

Do I know more than someone who graduated Harvard magna cum laude (coincidentally my first cousin did) in some areas, yes. Certainly I know much more in some areas than a 38 year old who graduated Harvard magna cum laude.

I admire Mayor Pete! His willingness to participate as a presidential candidate adds tremendous value to our National political debate.

If you were so smart then you would know intelligence has almost nothing to do with age, no matter which of the intelligences we are talking about.

His age and experience.

South Bend is a town of 100,000 people.

So? Look at who our ****ing POTUS is.

I am a bernie bro, and I will vote for him in the primary. But at this stage, I've become a bi-issue voter - cannabis rights, and single payer.

Thus, I will not vote for a single republican going forward, because they are against those two positions.

I don't wholly disagree. In fact I more agree than disagree.

Still, there is simply not enough real world experience in a 38 year old, for me.

And BTW, I am not advocating a 76 year old is great, just better than a 38 year old.

Personally I'd reset the minimum age to run for president to 48 and slam the door at 62.

Because people are emotional.

While the Fake News gushes over his "gayness"....because genitalia, and genital preferences are "KEY" to great leadership...

Yeah...he should be running the country, because he's gay. :doh

Mayors Of Worst American Cities Are Running For President

Mayor Peter Buttigieg has announced that he’s forming an exploratory committee for a 2020 run. Media reports have focused on the possibility that he might become America’s first gay millennial president, instead of on the fact that he’s headed a city since 2011 which has double the national and statewide violent crime rates. And a city where Hispanic poverty rates are 10% higher than the national average, African-American households have double the poverty rate, and Asian-American incomes are halved.

South Bend was recently rated one of the “worst cities” to live in. The unemployment rates are higher than average, the property values are lower, and even the water quality is below average.

Gushing media reports about the gay millennial mayor, a Harvard grad and a Rhodes scholar, overlook South Bend’s poverty rate of 24.7% and that 45% of households are living near the poverty level.

You called Beto O'Rourke "Bozo Beto," you called Warren "Pocohontas," you're crapping on Pete Buttigieg's age (which makes him legally allowed to run for President), his experience (which he has), and later his sexual orientation.

Be honest: were you ever going to vote for a Democrat?

so accumulation of knowledge is irrelevant to you?

I'll check you link now because I am sure you AGAIN are assigning me a position I did not take to demand I defend it.

Watch how you word things or I'll think you are being rude and not having a friendly discussion.
