I've seen the claim that we on the left support Iranian terrorists and mourn the death of their leader. Why is that? Do they have the tendency to believe in nonsense and conspiracy theories? Is it because Trump pushes that? Is it because they cannot think critically? And why do they keep hollering that because we criticize Trump for making the decision too quickly, we support Iran? And they scream TDS every single time.

Can anyone explain this phenomenon?

I don't think there is an explanation outside of the polarization and ultra high partisanship that has invaded our politics in the current era. . Having a differing point of view on politics and of Trump today does get one branded from either the left or the right. I don't think killing the general was a wise move, not for our near term future in the middle east. There have been a lot of decisions and actions taken for short term policy and political gain that in the long run, in the future where the effects of that short term gain was negated big time by the long term effects that the short term advantage actions and decisions caused.

I wouldn't worry about it. If you think something was wrong, state it. We're not mindless robots following a leader. I personally ignore all the name calling and branding done. I move on and don't respond to that type of post. There's plenty of folks here on this site you can have decent conversations with, even if you have differing political philosophies.
