The family of Kayla Mueller, a humanitarian worker from Arizona who was held captive, tortured and killed by ISIS, said it brought them great solace to know that the U.S military operation that ended with the death of the terrorist group's leader had been dedicated to her.

"We just learned that the whole thing was dedicated to Kayla thanks to General [Mark] Milley and it's very touching," her father, Carl Mueller, told ABC News on Sunday. "President Trump mentioned her today in his statement and he mentioned that he deserved what he got for what he did to Kayla. … she's not forgotten, and that's important."

President Donald Trump announced the death of the ISIS leader and founder Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in a Sunday morning address that mentioned Mueller by name, calling her a "beautiful young woman" who died while trying to "help people."

The media should be crediting Trump's administration with carrying out justice here for Ms Mueller's family, instead of the ridiculous hand wringing that's occurred about Bagdadhi not receiving a proper Islamic burial. The guy decided to blow himself and his 3 children up, rather than face capture. He's a coward who clearly didn't value his own children's lives.

This Baghdadi thing is still relatively new news. Give things until tomorrow afternoon and we'll have reason to impeach Trump for the attack and inciting the death of Kayla.

Like how Obama was attacked because Osama's corpse wasn't handled in whatever manner you lot thought appropriate?

You know where you can cram your wannabe-funny comments. You support a man so evil he has no problem betraying allies - allies who bled and died in the **** and the mud with us - to torture and death. You have nothing to say.

How do you look at yourself in the mirror?

How?

You really like to make things as personal as possible, don't you?

The Kurds did assist us in fighting ISIS and, based on this raid, seem to still be assisting us. I might remind you, however, that we were fighting ISIS on THEIR territory and protecting THEIR interests far more than we were protecting our own interests. I would also remind you that the rise of ISIS was due to actions (and inaction) of the two prior US administrations, not this one. The Muslim world has been FAR more negatively impacted by the rise of Muslim extremists than our world has been and this fight involves FAR more interests than us and the Kurds. Our withdrawal of an extremely small number of troops from the zone of direct conflict DOES NOT mean that we have abandoned the cause or those who we have worked with in the region.

I'm wondering how long it will take for the TDS crowd to say they are glad that Carl Mueller lost his daughter.

Personal? Then report it.

But I resent reading posts that pose as some kind of fair and balanced view when I've watched the person making them contradict themselves a million times over to slavishly defend an objectively bad president - especially when that person has come as close to lying to my face as one can on a debate forum...

I just don't understand how someone can proudly spew bull**** without compunction. Whatever would have to be true today for the Dear Leader to be the best ever must be said, and screw whatever was said yesterday or whatever will be said tomorrow.

Whattaboutism. No matter how ISIS came about, the fact of the matter is that they had to be fought. The corrupt bastard you defend at every turn betrayed our allies to torture and death, all because Erdogan rolled him. (Queue memories of Trump attacking Obama for being spineless and current Trump supporters then-applauding). This, because that lout claimed ISIS was defeated. But then he announced they were going to Iraq to fight the apparently not-at-all-defeated ISIS. Again, you cheered. But he hadn't bothered to contact the Iraqis, so they said to piss off. And now he's sending even more troops to Syria to protect the oil fields. So all that really happened is the idiot got a bunch of allies tortured and killed in a meaningless ****-around, bowed to Turkey's demands - TURKEY! - and is now moving in more troops.

The military people who actually fought there agree: this was a betrayal.

What does Lutherf have to say about all that?

"This Baghdadi thing is still relatively new news. Give things until tomorrow afternoon and we'll have reason to impeach Trump for the attack and inciting the death of Kayla. "

Tribalist gotcha games.

I could not possibly look in the mirror if I behaved that way.

I honestly don't remember that at all. I thought he was credited for handling it well... that is all I remember hearing. That all Islamic rituals/etc were followed. I don't even remember hearing that any terrorists were upset with it.

What's more fascinating is that someone would lie about what the media is doing in order to prop up a laughably false and desperate narrative.

He linked what the USA Today reported: "The Washington Post is facing backlash after a headline characterized the Islamic State leader who was killed in a U.S. raid over the weekend as an "austere religious scholar." "

How does that make what he said a lie?

WaPo isn't 'media democrat progressives' and it's not standing 'shoulder to shoulder with rapist-murderer islamic terrorists...'

That you need that explained to you isn't surprising.

That is just terminology... the Post is a liberal newspaper.

"On October 17, 2008, the Post endorsed Barack Obama for President of the United States. On October 25, 2012, the newspaper endorsed the Obama's re-election. The Post has endorsed Democrats for president during at least nine different presidential elections. The paper has never endorsed a Republican for president. On October 21, 2014, the newspaper endorsed 44 Democratic candidates versus 3 Republican candidates for the 2014 elections in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. On October 13, 2016, it endorsed Hillary Clinton for that year's presidential election.

...and calling a terrorist an austere religious leader can easily be seen as taking sides... which is what akron's shoulder to shoulder comment was actually about.

That you need that explained to you isn't surprising.

You couldn't defeat me in an argument with half my brain tied behind my back...

Utterly irrelevant to the lies I was responding to. Thanks for demonstrating his dishonesty for me. Didn't even have to lift a finger. WaPo didn't take Baghdadi's 'side', but I understand your desperate need for that to have been the case.

LOL! You've never won an argument here with me. All you do is run. Away.

Not the terrorists...the right had a problem with it as the conspiracy nut jobs kept insisting that he hadn't been killed and that the funeral was a sham. Even when the terrorists accepted bin Laden's death...some on the right still pressed the idea that he wasn't dead that it was all a lie.

Who on the right had a problem with it?

I would counter that once a person is a conspiracy nut job they are no longer Right or Left... they are Delusional.

Who on the right had a problem with it?

Conspiracy nuts... so nobody worth actually taking seriously... so... nobody on the Right did.

I think the CT nuttiness takes precedence over any political affiliation.

That was my point, in case I was not clear... which I often am not... :)

Oh I thought he was whimpering and cowering from the dogs, so which is it?
