Why is Lara Trump speaking on behalf of either the Trump campaign or the WH and offering people hush money? She has never been an important part of either. Who gave her permission to offer anybody hush money?

Lara's peripheral to the White House and is not in an official government position, and therefore it has less likely of a chance of causing legal issues for the administration should the Feds become aware of it.

Is anyone else wondering why anyone in the Trump orbit would offer Mrs. Newman a $180K/year job when she'd just been fired from one in which she was one rung away from reporting to Donald Trump?

I don’t know if she did or not, but I think they have probable cause to examine the contents of the recordings. She apparently on multiple occasions had recording devices going in areas where classified information was processed and discussed. If she didn’t record any classified stuff then she just broke the rules, not the law. If she did record classified information, even by accident, and removed it from the White House she broke the law.

Bringing a forbidden recording device into a secured facility is probable cause to search the contents of the recording. I THINK she is smart enough to have not recorded classified information but we can’t take her word on that.

I'm wondering why everyone is so willing to treat Omarosa as some sort of reliable trustworthy person in all of this. She was fired for misusing government funds/vehicles/whatever, secretly recorded a bunch of people (in the situation room no less!), and is now leverage all of this despicable behavior into selling her ridiculous book. Esquire said it best, "Omarosa is just another clown leaping out of the car."

I don't know. What I know is:

• Trump, far from the most truthful guy going, says that Mark Burnett says that no such tapes exist.
• Mark Burnett has not independently attested, one way or the other, about the existence of any such tapes and personnel from at least two outlets, People and Entertainment Weekly, have sought his input.

I can respect that.... Generically speaking though Trump is NOT your normal politician either. So His NDA's Would likely be a boilerplate form simialar to a stormy daniels as well as the playboy model(forgot her name)

If it was issued similar by Cohen types it likely was a celebrity/political NDA (ASSUMPTION)

Regardless.... Trump already had to deal with her on the apprentice. Trump dealt with NDA's already right so Im sure he had one tailored for Omorosa just in case.........
