Dear lord, the ban is on deep sea drilling because the oil companies lied about the meaningless regulations from the meaningless regulatory system put in place by dick cheney.
You can beleive that if you want. The First Amendment guarantees your freedom to have any religion you wish, no matter how silly.
Meanwhile, there's absolutely no sense in shutting down successful and safe enterprises.
Especially not when the exact cause of failure of Deepwater Horizon has not been established, and becuase it's unreasonable to presume that all other operations are guilty until proven innocent.
It's kinda un-American, that, and thus something totally in alignment with what we've come to expect from our Ivory ...er Ebony Tower elitist law perfessor community organizer who's never done a real job in his life, and of the incompetent cronies surrounding him who don't want this crisis to be wasted.
My name is not Lord, I'm completely repelled by any notion of aristorcracy in America.
economic incompetence? Bush?
Yes, he's a liberal too, so naturally he had a high degree of economic incompetence.
Since I never voted for Bushie, your attempt at guilt by association failed.
Your attempt to BioB! is noted. (BioB! = Blame it on Bush!)
results? whatever are you talking about?
Um....economic growth...PRIVATE SECTOR jobs growth, reduction of public sector in both real terms and as a percent of GDP, closure of US borders to the Invasion, repatriation of illegal aliens and their illegal children anchor babies, imprisonment of employers of same, stoppage of the hole in the bottom of the Gulf, stoppage of the hole where all the US money is running out via deficit spending, restoration of the Constitution as sole guiding US legal authority, and the restoration of US energy independence by the only practical means, drilling, digging, oil, coal, nuclear, and methane.
One question had some reasonable thinking but.. the reason it is wrong both economically and morally is that unemployment is @ 10%.
It is wrong economically to continue the ever expanding borrow and spend and then tax and spend more loop the US government has been engaged in for the last five decades.
It is wrong economically for the government to turn fascist and so over-regulate industries that the president has the authority to fire CEO's and seize twenty billion dollars in assets from a private corporation, both done in direct violation of the US Constitution.
It is wrong morally to attempt to legislate morality, as the baby-murdering leftists keep telling us, to the tune of millions of dead babies every year. It is also wrong morally to steal money from the children of people who presently have jobs to buy votes from people who don't have jobs.
It is also wrong, morally, to claim the unemployment rates is merely 10% when that figure is widely known to be only a reflection of those who are still seeking work and does not provide a measure of those who have abandoned job search efforts. In two words, the 10% figure is inaccurate and inadequate, and serves only to hide the gross failures of this incompetent administration to do anything useful in the economic realm at all.
Furthermore, it's so completely immoral to tolerate the presence of illegal aliens in this country when those Invaders are indeed taking up jobs....jobs that 10% unemployed segment of the legitimate, LEGAL population, and the undefined 5-10% unemployed in the shadows could be using to support themselves and their families.
So, don't you go wasting my time with your blather about morality. The left doesn't have the faintest clue what a moral is, not even after they get a stack of Aesop's Fables dropped on their head.
The economy is just starting to come around but.. private enterprise is not employing on mass. The spending cut is incredibly small compared to say the cost of the tax cuts bush implemented.. the bill to provide some financial assistance to people was microscopic in comparison and it was cut in half. But still the republicans would not give it one vote.
Yeah.
Amazing, ain't it? The governemnt doesn't release it's stranglehold on taxation and private business can't seem to find the money to hire more people.
In other words, the economy IS NOT turning around. Claiming the increased deficit spending by government, to the tune of 95% of jobs created in May being government jobs, it like telling the Ouroboros that he won't starve, all he has to do is swallow what he's already chewing on.
So with the economy coming out of the dirt the republicans want to be able to cry about how poorly managed the recovery was and force millions of people to fend for themselves. The republicans were playing partisan politics in light of the fact they were voting for austerity, prematurely and pretending to be fiscally conservative, which is a complete pile of crap. Inflation is nothing to worry about at 10% unemployment.
Economy ain't "coming out of the dirt". The Boy Wonder's destruction of the Gulf will ensure that, even if the rest of his failures don't kick in. What do you think is going ot happen when his tax increases hit next January? By "His" I mean His refusal to make the Bush tax cuts (what the idiot that liberal president was) permanent.
They did it to try to make the dems look bad, that is all.[/QUOTE]
