Trump could benefit from news like this if he had the brains and the disciple to exploit it. But he doesn't. Instead, he will probably go on some rant about how nurses are uglier and fatter under Obamacare...

As much of a lost cause as their idiotic choice for a Presidential candidate is, the Republicans should be SLAMMING the Democrats with this in the Congressional and Senate races. This needs to be hung definitively around the necks of the Democrats, because it is entirely, 100%, their boondoggle.
 
This federal government created crisis requires a new federal government solution. The best way to fix a problem is to let the same experts meet in secret to try again (and, if needed, yet again). Hey, that idea has worked to fix our K-12 education system - per pupil costs are down and student test scores are up! ;)

I recall someone saying that a few years ago. Was it Romney a matter of fact he did.

I heard this clip of Obama saying: "they have to raise the prices because the prices were set too low to get people to sign on."

If that were a retail store they would be charged. The street term for it is "low balling."

Everyone from Canadian economists to leading politicians said this would happen, and the people elected Obama anyway.

Only by those who fail to see the law for what it is; a long term solution. The gaps in the law are really an absence of any mechanisms to provide short term cost reduction. For example, hospitals have been allowed to get away with obscene price gouging on the grounds that they need to recover loses incurred by treating uninsured patients. Whats their excuse now?

I realize fully, what the problem is. That does not mean that the means chosen were well conceived.

It was NOT sold that way at all. The promises by Obama included an average savings of $2500. Now we are looking at an average increase next year of 25%. That is massive and in many cases, unaffordable. This was predicted and now you are blaming others for a crappy law. That sort of behavior from liberals was predicted as well.

I strongly suspect that this year, MANY people will drop coverage entirely, because the tax penalty will be CONSIDERABLY less expensive.

if my premiums go up again next year, i'll drop my insurance and take the fine. It'd be cheaper then paying out the ass every month for health insurance i use only twice a year.

We knew Obamacare was a failure. We knew that it would send insurance premiums through the roof.
We knew that this was all planned as well to try and bankrupt the insurance companies to push VA healthcare on everyone.

That was a failure just as much as Obamacare was a failure.

You can't demand coverage and 0 liability protocols and not expect prices to soar out of control.
