The NRA decisions are made by its leadership, which is elected by the membership. Put your money where your mouth is. Join up and vote in leaders who will stand up to the Secret Service.

Yeah, the same leadership that says it's a violation of the second amendment to ban assault weapons and have gun free zones said it was okay to ban guns at their own convention; nope, no contradiction and hypocrisy there...

Why - would I join such a corrupt and hypocritical organization that just wants my money to further it's far right-wing political agenda? I own my guns with out them.

And isn't the NRA buying a change in the government? Yes they are; up until big gummit pushes back and does what the King of England did which we fought a revolution over to prevent... So why aren't you gun guys here pitching a bitch about the NRA here, the way you do about ANY gun control?

the stupidity in this mess of lies is hysterical. Only a dishonest argument would claim banning commonly owned firearms is the same as the secret service ruling that those in close proximity to the VP or the President cannot be packing firearms. gun banners like jet have never been willing or able to udnerstand specific restrictions in specific circumstances with blanket bans o what people can own in their own homes.

you think we gun owners should piss and moan about the NRA leadership following the requirements of the secret service. well we have better things to work against-such as your desires to ban semi auto rifles because you aren't trusted by your state to own them

The fact is.. the NRA is the preeminent organization for the shooting sports and for firearm safety training in the US. Not to mention helping develop safe ranges for people to shoot.

The NRA is a radical right-wing organization pushing product and rewriting the second amendment to fit its agenda. All one has to do is listen to its leadership to understand its agenda. It promotes baseless paranoia and puts guns over the rights of people, and then it rolls over for big gummit bans on guns.

They are hypocrites because they back down on gun rights when it's suits their political masters to do so. They should have told Pence to sither stay home or demand a change in SS gun policy. They did neither. They meekly accepted their masters' restriction.

The NRA bowed down.
