I agree DEI wasn't used to "favor any groups considered marginalized at the moment," because by definition DEI has always claimed that the recipients of their largesse have been marginalized throughout American history.

Who do you imagine created the "groups considered marginalized at the moment?" Who's doing this "consideration?" Is it the Jews that are claiming harassment on college campuses? Hate to tell you, but the history of Jewish marginalization is a little older than anyone getting perks from DEI today.

The left has long since abandoned the egalitarian principles of liberalism and replaced them with Marxist assumptions based upon identity politics. Instead of these principles of liberalism favoring equal opportunity, the left now divides people into little groups based upon perceived degree of oppression and tries to engineer equal outcome. In order to do so, some groups are handicapped in order to promote the interests of other groups, all based upon aspects of group identity including race.

Oddly enough, those who adhere to this rigid belief system actually posit themselves as ANTI racist, when the truth of the matter is that they are actually indulging in it.

So you are saying there are no significant levels of hate crime and there is no racism in the US, and people should just stop whining about it or trying to make it better because you find the topic irrelevant to you. OK! 🤭 (y)
